Rulers of Quinox
Quinox has been ruled by queens with some exceptions since its society formed at an unknown point in ancient history. Many of the queens had become folk heroes to the people, and some had left lasting impacts on the planet's society at large. The list of rulers of the planet was known as the Legacy of Rulers, and copies were available to the general public, while the original list was kept in the vaults of the palace in Mysn-Ku. Note: many of the names here are translated from their original Quinoxian to fit more common Earth names. Example: Patricia was actually known as Patri'ka in the original histories.
The Originators
The Mother Queen Reign Time: UNKNOWN. The originator of both the entire lineage of the Quinox royal family and one of the creators of Quinox society. Much of the information on her was hushed up by the Quinox royal government.
Queen Ilmater 1 FS-5 FS. The first queen of Quinox and the founder of the first capital of Quinox: U-Ko. Subject of the poem Tapestry of Ilmater.
Queen Cybele 5 FS-10 FS. The daughter of Ilmater, stabilized the clan economic system and expanded the capital city.
Queen Isis 10 FS-19 FS. Fought in the Clan Wars, uniting the entire planet under one rule. Known in some circles as Isis of the people.
Queen Gaisha 19 FS-29 FS. Known as Gaisha the Long Living. Is primarily known for her longevity. Her ten daughters are often considered the founders of modern Quinoxian society.
The Pioneers
Queen Patricia 1 SS-6 SS. Fought the War of The Loadstone and commissioned The Temple of The Light. Subject of The War-Queen of Quinox.
Queen Isabella 6 SS-11 SS. Championed the arts. Was a popular figure in various plays and operas of Quinox. Her rule began the Golden Age of Quinox.
Queen Tarina and Queen Tolina 11 SS-17 SS. Twins who ruled together when Isabella retired for a time. Created the second capital, Mosuga.
King Allan 17 SS-23 SS. One of the only ruling kings of Quinox and son of Queen Isabella. Helped clear the question of male succession following the Second Clan War. Was popular in folktales for his cleverness and bravery.
The Warriors
Queen Rowen 1 TS-6 TS. Strengthened the Quinox army and designated the Holy Temple of Light.
Queen Temera 6 TS-12 TS. Created the Quinox navy.
Queen Morriana 12 TS-14 TS (deposed). Referred to as Morriana the Dark. Was the most despised of all queens of Quinox. Politically alienated allies, including outer worlds and smaller planets. The only queen to have been deposed, which was carried out by her daughter.
The Missing Rulers
From 14 three six to 20 seven six, most of the rulers are not known at this time due to missing records. One name is known, that of Queen Illmarter II. We have yet to recover the rest of this information. This period of time is known as the Dark Days of Quinox.
The Final Rulers
Queen Temera II 1 ES-7 ES. Increased diplomatic ties to the other outer worlds.
King Lorath 7 ES-14 ES. Made final adjustments to the Quinoxian Articles of Government.
Queen Katyin 14 ES-23 ES. Nothing known that is noteworthy.
Queen Lakma 1 NS-9 NS. Finalized final work on the Royal Palace in Mysn-Ku (Tempest City).
Queen Minerva 9 NS-15 NS. The last ruler of Quinox. Helped seal away Queen Necros and exile Garmus-Hel. Mother of Matsumi Kaze and Matsuo Shin in the Silver Millennium.
It is expected that someday in the far future, Matsumi will join this list as a ruler.
