Origins

The origins of the being known as Necros are shrouded in mystery. What is known is that Necros is not from this universe, but rather from another plane; "a dark and shadowy world." There are some hints that Necros may have some sort of relationship with Chaos but there is no absolute information in this regards. What can be said is that the Necros entity is very old, almost as old as the universe itself and that it's true form is unknown. Even simply looking upon it can cause some form of mental distress, though often the brain will make it appear as some sort of gigantic serpent. At some point, the entity encountered a species of humanoid aliens which began to worship it as a god. In return for an extended life and powers of their own, these "Dark Ones" would offer one of their own (often a woman) to serve as a vessel for the creature with which it could interact with the larger world.
