First Appearance

Eirene is a Greek girl from an ancient time period with short curly dark hair and gray eyes. She is also AquaPower, one of the Aquariazers. Her personality is rather agressive and stubborn, although she is very close to her friend Galene. She prefers more masculine clothing and has a rough and tumble attitude.

She is currently part of Kore's household, although the two are very different and do not always get along well.

Biography

Born near Athens in the 1240s, Eirene was the only child of a fisherman. Her mother, having died in childbirth, left her to be raised alone by her father. Through either choice or accident, the girl was raised more as a boy then her actual gender, often helping her widower father in his work. As she grew, Eirene also felt a certain connection to the sea, often taking her father's boat out by herself and spending time gazing at the water. One day, however, while out on her boat, she was caught in a sudden storm and before she realized it, she was tossed overboard and dragged under.

When she awoke, she found herself in a strange place alongside another girl. She soon learned they had been brought to another world known as Atlantis, and that the other girl was named Galene. An Atlantian oracle had foretold a great evil that would threaten their world, and while an earlier attempt at creating a champion had ended in diaster, they had chosen the two girls to become their new warriors. Impressed and honored by this chance to become more then she was, Eirene accepted the offer and was bonded with the powers of the whale, becoming Aquapower.

As foretold, the danger, the Three Heralds of Darkness, appeared, forcing Eirene and Galene into battle. During the three years of war, the two would become very close friends. However, while they were able to seal two of the heralds away, the third, Shado, cast a curse upon them and Atlantis before it was fully defeated. Slowly dying of the dark magics cast against them, the mages of Atlantis decided the girls were too great an asset to lose. The two were placed in a casket in suspended animation till the curse wore off and they were needed once again.

This would come thousands of years later, as one of the great Heralds, Zen, returned once more to destroy Atlantis. As additional power was needed to help the besieged Aquaraizers, the two warriors were required once again. Paisley Pythia Peinforte, a friend of the man who Zen had taken over, was guided by the power of the mages to awaken the two. After a short battle during which the two warriors thought Paisley was a servent of the heralds, the two joined up with their successors and succeded in defeating the villian, seperating it from Matsuo Shin in the process. Realizing there was nothing left for her in Atlantis, Eirene agreed to returning to the normal world, bringing Galene with her.

Personality

Eirene, unlike most girls from her time period, is a tomboy and somewhat masculine. This is mostly due to the way she was raised, surrounded by male role models. While she is quick to adapt to changing circumstances, she is also highly stubborn and superstitious. She is extremely protective of Galene, a nature which can be sometimes mistaken for romantic affection.

Trivia

Eirene is an ardent worshiper of Poseidon and Glaucus.
