Anjai Yusanovich is the scientist and geneticist who created Serum L, in the hopes of allowing Lupa to interbreed with Humans. However, her first Human experiment, on Graham Langford, went wrong and created a half-way alternate form. She was no closer to her goals, but Graham did become a superhero in Minnesota, joining a group that included none other than Matsumi Kaze.
Later, Graham wanted to be cured, and their travels took them to The Hotel, where Graham quickly met Miara Mitsuki, who was more than displeased with Anjai's decisions regarding her work. It is well-known among Lupa that such a thing is not possible, and her actions put all of them at risk of exposure. Thus, she received the most aggressive discipline and lectures that Miara has given thus far.
Although Miara did take Graham to see the astral healer in her own time period, they were unable to do anything for him. Due to the nature of Lupa DNA, they have been assured the change is permanent and incurable. However, the pair still seems to have hope of discovering new science or tech that could change that.
