Zanpakuto

Zanpakuto are weapons wielded by persons with Shinigami powers. This article will probably speak mostly on zanpakuto within Suburban Senshi. For a much more in-depth article, see the original wikipedia text here, some of which is reproduced below.

While the Soul Reapers of Soul Society do not often make contact with the living world, the few exceptions are worth noting.

Furu Ikari

At one point deceased, Furu was the third seat of eighth division, and possessed a zanpakuto. He was capable of achieving shikai though its name and extended powers elude the author.

Yura

As an arrancar, Yura possesses a zanpakuto, though its name has not been given and it has not been released in view of the box-going public, though it would seem that it possesses cold and ice-related powers.

Sakura Xadium Aino

Sakura's adventures in Soul Society, including her temporary captainship of fifth division, taught her how to achieve shikai with Arataka—which incredibly had come with her to the afterlife. Only after her subsequent return to the living and hard training with sensei rei.bot and sister Noriko did she realize that she could achieve bankai—her partnership with Arataka went beyond life and death ,and it was in bankai with Arataka that she finally defeated her longtime nemesis, Eudial. Sakura's shikai allows her to replicate a vast multitude of Arataka's blades and control them at will, forming them into a spinning, whirring meat-grinder of devastation. Her bankai has the effect of increasing her speed strength and spiritual reserves, as well as retaining the shikai powers.
