If #suburbansenshi2 has a kid brother that it couldn't quite quit ribbing, it would be Furu Ikari.

Persona

Furu is a willful innocent, someone who has seen the darker parts of life and glimpsed the horror of man's inhumanity to man and has decided to forget that part of his life. Quick to smile, easy to embarrass, swift to forgive, and generally an open-hearted, good-natured soul--if occasionally a little clumsy, or a little oblivious, or a little quick to jump to conclusions. Having never had a childhood of his own, Furu often acts in the defense of the innocent and the childlike, knowing all too well how precious such a thing as true innocence truly is. Like most males his age, he also suffers from occasional bouts of crippling self-doubt and angst-ridden despair, though those outbursts tend to be adorably cute rather than annoying.

Background

Before Ten'ou House

Furu Ikari was originally conceived as a biological weapon of the Qwardian Sinestro Corps, a villainous organization whose aims spanned the galaxy of his home universe. His genome was synthesized from a combination of Asuka Soryuu Langely and Shinji Ikari's genetics and tinkered with to produce a warrior capable of wielding their yellow Power Rings. Designed as a perfect foil for his father-- who was a member of the Green Lantern Corps, and thus an enemy of Furu's creators-- Furu was put through a brutal training regimen, where he was eventually released to his final examination on an Anti-Matter version of Earth run by the Crime Syndicate of Amerika.

Tasked with bringing down the Syndicate, Furu put his training to good use. Through months of careful planning, he was able to orchestrate the downfall of the Syndicate; however, in doing so, the youth was exposed to a multitude of outside factors that the Qwardian brainwashing had not prepared him for, and left Furu suddenly doubting the truths he was fed the whole of his life.

Data is fuzzy from that point onwards, particularly because Furu has since had much of his memory blocked off from his conscious access, and partly because there are no witnesses who will speak at length. It is known that after the Syndicate was brought down, Furu did battle with his genetic father Shinji, and that the battle between them was a standstill until Furu's will collapsed as he abandoned the depraved teachings of his Qwardian mentors and accepted that he had been wrong. It is also known that Furu found himself shortly after in a multidimensional collapse, ending up in a medieval iteration of Earth where he met and killed a man named Garrick and the Princess he served, and was then taken and given to the (then non-corrupt) MultiPolice.

It was the MultiPolice (and the intervention of Future Furu 2.0) where Furu was given a new lease on life. Assigned to the MP Special Squad Chimera, an organization dedicated to troubleshooting and prevent multiverse-collapsing events, Furu was offered (and accepted) a neural block on the traumatic memories of his past and a fresh start on a new world of his choice... which, as Future Furu 2.0 designed, ended up being Earth Prime. Our world.
