Brief Biography
Yuki Sakuraba was a clever and creative high school student whose life crashed to a halt one day when her parents were killed in a traffic accident. Only surviving by being thrown clear from the car (due to her seatbelt failing), she was left to survive on her own.
For a time she made good money by crafting cosplay props and outfits for others, as well as making edgy cosplay videos for her followers on OnlyFans, but she was driven to attempted suicide after jealous competitors created deepfakes of her which were far more explicit than what she was actually doing and used them to sully her reputation.
What happened next is unclear, but all Yuki will say about what happened next is that Sailor Moon intervened and saved her life, urging her to not give up and keep on trying.
She then decided to use her cosplay skills to become an influencer (using the branding "It's Yuki-chan!!") for various companies on Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube, cosplaying famous characters from various anime and video game franchises and promoting tie-in products and mobile game tie-ins.
With over 2.1 million followers on TikTok alone, she has become one of the most sought-after influencers in Japan.
The Role of a Lifetime
In 2023, Yuki was short-listed to compete for the role of "Sailor V" in TOEI's latest attempt to reboot the Sailor Moon franchise in live action, despite having no prior acting experience whatsoever.
Despite being rough around the edges, she made it to the final round and was able to impress both the TOEI executives and Ginga CEO Aino Minako, the real Sailor V, that she had the attitude and sincerity needed to carry the role. Thus it was that on New Year's day 2024, she was announced as the new lead for the production.
Her Debt to Sailor Moon
The following is an excerpt from a news article about her casting in Sailor V.
"Sailor V, to me, is like the prototype. She's awesome, strong but vulnerable at the same time, you know? [...] Yeah, honestly, the role I always wanted to play was Sailor Moon, but that wasn't available hahaha. If it wasn't for Sailor Moon, I wouldn't be here today. At the lowest point in my life, when everything was falling apart, she picked me up and gave me the confidence to live my life and follow my dreams. So even if, you know, as a new actor, it's a whole new challenge... I'm going to give it all I got and hit it with 1000% MOON POWER! I hope I can show her that I did good, and make both her and Sailor V proud!"
Hospitalization
On January 7th, 2024, Yuki was struck by a car in a suspicious hit-and-run late at night in Roppongi and taken to the hospital at Roppongi Hills Clinic with severe injuries, being left comatose and completely non-responsive.
On January 12th, 2024 it was discovered that her attacker may have been related to The Society of the Golden Crescent.
The Truth about Yuki
Yuki has been revealed to be the reincarnation of the reincarnation of "Ninsi'anna," identified by Valeria Victrix as a primal Venusian second only to Inanna and superior to Aphrodite/Goddess Venus.
