Nokoru Imonoyama wears many hats at CLAMP Gakuen: as the chairman of his family company's electrical engineering division; as the school's most eligible bachelor (but has since relinquished that title); as one of the smartest students in the entire campus; and as the president of the CLAMP Gakuen Detectives. He is a selfless boy who stops at nothing to help a damsel in distress, young or old.
In third grade, Nokoru became the chairman of the Elementary Division Student Council. While he was mulling over his decisions on who to appoint for his cabinet, he encountered one Takamura Suoh, a second grader who had recently transferred into CLAMP Gakuen. He immediately sensed a connection to Suoh and worked at attempting to gain his first real friend. However, the friendship only formed when both Nokoru and Suoh were kidnapped by a woman who wanted to use Nokoru's genius to further her business deals. Suoh, who was a member of the Takamura family of ninjas and bodyguards, helped break Nokoru out, but when a member of the woman's band of thugs shot him, Nokoru lept out in front and took the bullet. From then on Suoh chose to protect Nokoru, with his life if need be, and to facilitate that Nokoru appointed Suoh as his secretary. Later on, Nokoru encountered Ijuuin Akira , a young boy with a love for cooking, and appointed him as treasurer. He decided to form the CLAMP Gakuen Detectives after aiding a woman who was being harassed by a relative who wanted control of her massive estate many years after her husband disappeared.
Nokoru has found a kindred spirit in Suu and has been sighted going out with her several times. His classmate Kyougoku Midoriko considers herself to be a rival for Suu's affections and has manage to take her frustrations out on Suu several times. It is not known whether Nokoru knows about what his classmate has done.
Ever since Nokoru was a young boy and the Japanese story Urashima Taro had been read to him, he has had a keen interest in space travel and quantum universes since he spent a few days wondering why Urashima Taro managed to spend only three years under the sea while 300 years passed by on the surface. Rumor has it that he is being recruited by NASA.
Nokoru is rumored to also have been able to eat over 1500 boxes of chocolate given to him by most of the female student body at CLAMP Gakuen and not gain a single pound. He is also rumored to have written out 1500 thank you notes by hand that were delivered to all 1500 chocolate givers on White Day.
