Silla is a House-Elf contracted to the Carr family, and currently runs Greyheather Cottage, the Cotswold home of Caroline Carr. She previously served Elizabeth Carr, Caroline's paternal grandmother, at Highlark House in Dorset.

Character and Personality

Silla, while usually pleasant and willing to please, can be somewhat anxious when worried about how the quality of her service is seen by the household. She seeks to make the best food they eat, and to provide things without being noticed. Coming to the attention of outside persons, such as when she must visit The Hotel, is stressful for her. Offending her results in quite pointed "I have to do this but I don't like it" type of attitude and answers when being spoken to. As with most House-Elves, the suggestion that she desires freedom or slacks on any work is extremely offensive to her.

Appearance

Silla is just under 3' tall, with large brown eyes, a pointed nose, and rather large ears. She wears various dishtowels instead of clothing.

History

Silla is quite a proper House-Elf, skilled in the domestic arts and a fantastic cook. She is very proud of her service to the Carr family, which started when she became contracted to Elizabeth and Edward Carr in their manor house, Highlark House, in Droset, in 1958. Originally trained in her mother's household, Silla quickly adjusted to her new household and Elizabeth took a great liking to her and treated her very well. Silla in turn loved her mistress very much, and was quite devistated upon her death in August of 2012.

Perhaps feeling sorry for her single, childless granddaughter, Elizabeth arranged in her will that Silla pass into Caroline's employ. This was quite a surprise to Caroline, who naturally assumed that Silla would stay connected to Highlark House, now inhabited by her Uncle and his family. While relations were a little strange and tense when Silla first came to Greyheather Cottage, she and Caroline came to know and understand one another better over the first few months, and now have a much more caring and easygoing relationship.

Despite initial concerns of enslavement and servitude from Raihosha's family, Silla also eventually worked out relations with them, as well, and will choose to take orders from Rai. She and Aes have a somewhat interesting relationship, although they at first found each other off putting. She is no longer cautious, but is not particularly fond of the Mongoosetigers, even if she doesn't say so.
