Transmat

A transmat is a transportation device that is very similar to a Star Trek transporter. They do not do site to site transports. Transmat systems are known to exist on Raihosha's base, Aescapulus, and on Solarchos' ship, Hellesponte. It's also likely that there an transmats on the TARDISes belonging to various Time Lords which appear in The Hotel.
