First Appearance

Xian Pu is a very beautiful and dangerous Chinese Amazoness who was beaten by the female version of Ranma. From there, she has led a very interesting life with Ranma and his group. Definitely someone you want on your side, and not someone you want to piss off if you are a woman. Ended up marrying Mu Se and proved instrumental in helping to take down the Neo-Wei Dynasty.

"Aiyaa! Is Ranma finally here to take Xian Pu on a date?!"

HISTORY

Meeting Ranma

Ranma (in female form) and his father (in panda form) were traveling with the Jusenkyo guide after their training in the cursed springs had a detrimental affect on both, as evident by their physical presence. The guide took the two martial artists to the Chinese Amazon village, where two women were fighting in the finals of a tournament. The ugly burly looking one was defeated by the very beautiful and agile one. She went to claim her prize, when she saw Ranma and Genma eating the food... her prize. She demanded to know what the two were doing, and Ranma decided to challenge her.

If Ranma had known then what he knew now, he would not have made such a challenge... lightly. Ranma and the beautiful girl, whom he finds out is named Xian Pu (Shampoo), take their positions on the challenge log. Ranma easily defeats the Amazoness, much to everyone's surprise and fear. Xian Pu, humiliated by her defeat, walks up to Ranma and kisses the red-haired girl looking boy on the cheek. This shocks everyone, because of what it meant. The guide knew that was not one of love, and helps the two escape. Ranma was given the "Kiss of Death".

The Kiss of Death is the Chinese Amazoness vow to pursue the one she gives that to even to the ends of the Earth, and to kill the offending woman. Ranma and Genma tried desperately to stay one step ahead of the crazy Amazoness, and were successful in eluding Xian Pu. They escaped back to Japan, thinking they had finally rid their selves of her... they were wrong.

From China with Love

Xian Pu, crashed onto the scene in Japan literally while Ranma and Akane Tendo were busy talking smack to each other in an ice cream shop. Ranma tried to hide from her, but it looked like all was lost when she discovered his hiding spot. Fortunately for Ranma, he was back to his normal form as a guy, one that Xian Pu was unaware of. She gave him a look over, and then went about her business searching for female Ranma.

Akane and Ranma's arrival to the Tendo Dojo was not what one would expect, as Xian Pu was there being entertained by the Tendo family. Ranma confronted his father, who was in Panda form, with the latter claiming she followed him there. Hostilities would brew between Akane and Xian Pu, causing Ranma to intervene. To stop the fight, Ranma kicked one of Xian Pu's weapons, breaking it in two and the broken half hit her square on the head. She went down to the ground with the Tendo's and his father declaring him the victor. Knowing the repercussions of such a claim, he tried to say otherwise, but the family would not hear it.

When Xian Pu regained consciousness, she slowly walked to a visibly frightened Ranma. Instead of the Kiss of Death like he anticipated, she planted a kiss on his lips saying the words, "Wo ai ni" or You I love in Mandarin Chinese. She was hanging all over him, while a visibly infuriated Akane was about to step into the ring with devastating results. She got the Kiss of Death from Xian Pu, while Soun Tendo remarked about Xian Pu towards Ranma, "When he's a guy, she wants him. When he's a girl, she wants him dead."

In the end though, Xian Pu would end up running back to China, heartbroken because of Ranma's plan. Ranma claimed he was originally a girl not a guy, but instead of killing Ranma, Xian Pu ended up letting her emotions get the better of her. She returned to the Amazon village in shame, and was forced to go through retraining in Jusenkyo with her great grandmother, and Amazon leader, Kul Ohn (Cologne). Her retraining found her landing in Maonichuan (Spring of Drowned-Cat), and a cute little purple cat came walking out (Down Artemis!).

She would return with her Grandma back to Juuban, and Ranma would suffer for it. However, he learned new techniques from Kul Ohn, as well as Xian Pu. Mu Se would soon join the fray, causing confusion for all. Xian Pu showed her disdain for Mu Se early and often, but it was often speculated that she did that to suppress her true feelings for him. He was the only one to join "Team Ranma" however, as another suitor/rival for Ranma would show up in the form of Ukyo Kuonji. After various hijinks and craziness, the Furinkan section of Nerima ward in Tokyo would become a hotbed of a much larger war. Xian Pu would be introduced to a pair that was at the center of that war...

Juuban's Finest

Xian Pu would meet Kevin Junia and Makoto Kino when they left Juuban for the Nerima district of Tokyo, finding themselves at the Tendo Dojo. Xian Pu at first believed her to be another rival, and a very dangerous one at that, for Ranma. She realized that wasn't the case however, and saw a potential to learn from the Sailor Senshi.
