History
Vilya was born in Liechtenstein, to Minilya and Lumik, two Lupa who had established themselves on Earth. At an early age, she showed a love of the arts, especially painting. Her parents, during this time, would often tell her Lupa stories and history, her favorites being ones about her great-grandmother. Her life was a quiet one until she was 8 years old, when on a full moon, the entire family was caught in the act of changing by a local villager. Accused of being monsters, the entire family had to flee in secret to Switzerland.
Living in the city of Davos and joining a small pack there, they managed to keep themselves unnoticed while Vilya finally made her decison to become an artist. Eventually, due to an incident that she never speaks about, Vilya left, and at her family's suggestion, made her way to Tokyo. Only able to afford a small apartment, Vilya decided to try and make a living off her paintings, although with little success to date. However, some of her paintings can be found in Floral Heaven.
Vilya revealed her reason for moving to Japan. When she fell in love with a local boy, she decided to bond to him. However, she did not speak about this with her parents first, and thus her understanding of bonding was extremely limited. In her focus on the situation, she forgot that it was full moon. She also did not prepare her boyfriend, so when he saw her change, he ran away, blundering into the river. Although she tried to save him, he drowned, and Vilya seems understandably unnerved and ashamed of the entire incident. Vilya and her parents decided it would be best for her to leave, and chose Tokyo as her new home.
It also seems that, in their effort to help their daughter fit in with Humans, Vilya's parents focused almost entirely on Human things in her upbringing. As a result, she knows relatively little about the culture and stories of her own people.
Personality
Vilya, at heart, is a very shy and unassuming person. Not very aggressive most of the time, she is, however, known to let her frustrations out much more fully during full moon. Recently, however, Vilya has started to come out of her shell and become much less shy then she once was.
Currently
Vilya lives in The Hotel on the second floor, where she has an artist's loft in which she creates paintings. Otherwise, she doesn't have other work, but does attend the training sessions Miara Mitsuki formerly ran for the Lupa in Tokyo on Tues. and Thurs. nights, and on Saturday mornings. After the Astral Seminar in 2012, she began dating Miroslav Tietz, and the two have recently discussed bonding. As of May 26, 2013, Vilya and Miroslav bonded, beginning their new lives as mates.
Art Style
Vilya as an artist leans more towards the style of Impressionist artists such as Claude Monet and Edgar Degas. Her favorite subjects for sketches and paintings include parks and naturescapes.
