The Flame Knights

The Flame Knights are the fighting force of The Order of the Flame. These individuals each have extensively developed special combat abilities, usually centering around the element of fire and telekinesis.

Known flame knights include: Haak, Rali, Ast, Ghost, Boss and Zaik. Currently, all of the known members of this organisation appear to be assigned to Earth and make up the crew of The Infernus and the fleet it forms part of.

The Flames Within

Each flame knight carries their own unique ability, often named to match the nature of their techniques, as shown below:

• Haak uses The Searing Blade, which allows him to create and manipulate bladed weapons from his flames.
• Rali uses The Fury of Igneus, an ability that focuses enormous amounts of force into a single blow.
• Ast uses The Ethereal Flame, binding him to the immaterial universe, immune to all attacks from the normal plane.
• Ghost uses Hades' Touch, summoning the vengeance of thousands of souls who lost their lives in tragedy.
• Boss and Zaik are also believed to have similar abilities, though the details remain a closely guarded secret.

The Order

The Order of the Flame is a reclusive organisation whose goals are not even wholly revealed to most of their own, little is known with any degree of reliability about their operations elsewhere.

What is known, is that the main headquarters of the organisation is 'out of phase' with this universe, and unreachable by conventional means. We also know that each flame knight that has been recruited each suffered a terrible loss just before joining the order's ranks, though (understandably) none have given much further detail.

The training a flame knight completes to discover and master their abilities is extensive, and takes place in similar 'phased' conditions to where the headquarters reside, and therefore time passes differently. It is understood that while no known flame knight by Earth terms looks older than 40, some could be hundreds of years old, if not more due to this phased phenomenon.

Important

It is important to note that apart from Haak, no other flame knight is known to have any connection to The Imperium or its Space Marines. There has been some confusion in the past where it was believed the flame knights were merely an unheard of Space Marine Company.
