The FATEFul
Over the centuries there have been many famous heroes--Demigods like Hercules, aliens like Superman, and lovable regenerating assholes like Deadpool. These heroes have served to protect and inspire mankind, but they come with their own frustrations and issues. Ordinary people don't have healing factors, or personal fortunes, or alien heritage, or godly blood.
Does this mean ordinary people are worth any less, or cattle just waiting ot be protected by these other heroes? No.
Ordinary people can be heroes too, even without these special factors. But sometimes they still need a little help.
Some accuse the gods of failing to intervene to help humanity, but they know if they did so directly, man would never evolve to reach his own potential, with most people willing to rely on divine intervention to get things done. So the gods decided to help, in an empowering way for mankind.
Enter the FATEful - ordinary people chosen by the gods to be specially trained to be inspiring, helpful, and courageous. To be beacons to other regular people, to show them that thery too can make a difference. Sometimes by lending a helping hand, sometimes by listening, and sometimes by having the courage to act when others are too scared to.
The FATEful are chosen from the ranks of humanity who desperately wish they could be of service but don't know how to get started, or are too scared to. They are transported to a training world in their sleep, where they are taught to overcome their fears, to be empathetic and observant, and to act with courage and without hate, emphasizing the best parts of them. They are not given super powers, or special items. They are instead given confidence to make the best of their situations and rise up to inspire others to do the same. When they wake up they remember nothing, but they begin to slowly but surely change the world...
As part of her new job duties as assigned by the Grand Kai, Matsumi Kaze, who had previously gained Apotheosis, now has to do her godly duties and train these FATEFul as her service to mankind.
