Takashi Renji is the personal bodyguard of The Great Healer, Kaito Hayashi. He is always seen wearing impeccably tailored suits which barely contain his muscular frame.
Background
Renji grew up in an environment that prized discipline and achievement. His analytical mind and attention to detail led him to excel academically, but his rigid personality caused friction in his personal relationships. When he was fired from his job by (legitimately) challenging a boss who was incompetent and only placed there by nepotism, he was almost killed by Yakuza thugs associated with the boss, leading to the awakening of his past life memories in the Silver Millennium. Drawn by the hopeful message of The Great Healer, he has sworn his life to protecting him and helping him achieve his dreams.
