Biography

Born to pegasai couple Windstar and Whirlwhip, Matsy Breezy grew up in the city of Cloudsdale in Equestra. Always in awe of her parents, who both had careers in Weather Control Operations, Matsy one day decided to attempt duplicating one of the tornados she had seen several other pegasi team up to make. Waiting for a day when there was a planned twister operation, Matsy quickly snuck in during the intitial forming. However, she quickly realized that the wind was much stronger then she had anticipated. Finding herself bounced around the vortex, the little filly attempted her best to regain her balance in the tornado with no avail. Quickly thinking, Matsy began instead to spin around in place, creating her own little vortex in the process. As a result, she not only managed to regain control of herself, she ended up creating a mini tornado as well! After returning to Cloudsdale and being scolded by her parents for her actions, Matsy discovered she had gotten her cutie mark in the process, that of a green tornado.

A few years later, she would become a big sister after the birth of her sibling, Stormy Breezy. Though she cares for her little sister, she often finds her a handful, as well as rather stubborn, a trait she seems to share with Matsy. Growing older, Matsy finally had her dream come true when she was picked to become a member of an Extreme Weather Team, a group comprised specifically of pegasi to control and create much more harsh weather conditions in certain situations.

During one point where she was told to create a tornado to clear away an excess amount of rain after a storm, Matsy accidentally fell through a hole in the sky, ending up at Papaya Island on the planet Earth. Though shocked at first, Matsy quickly became used to her surroundings, making several friends, including her human counterpart Matsumi Kaze. She currently lives in The Hotel on the fifth floor.

Friendships

Like many ponies, Matsy has made several friends on Equestria.

• Euri (pony)

A close friend of Matsy, she often hangs out with this decidely strange and happy pony, though probably the word "tolerates" is closer to the truth.

• Candy (pony)

Having known this pony since fillyhood, Matsy lives not far away from this always optimistic pegasus in Cloudsdale.

• Vinyl Scratch

Having met this pony in an incident that involved a tornado, a bass cannon, and several chickens (don't ask), Matsy has become fast friends with the DJ, both referring to the other by nicknames at times (Windy for Matsy and Whubmeister for Vinyl). Matsy, meanwhile, has a slightly less then friendly relationship with Vinyl's roommate Octavia, not fully disliking her but finding her a bit too "stuffy" at times.

• Cherry Spices

First meeting with this pony at a train station after she had just moved from the city of Hoof de Trumph, Matsy would later help Cherry out of a fix at her newly opened shop, Sweet Delights. They have remained friends ever since.
