Firestar is an enigma, and it is difficult to judge what her true motivations are. She's been a thorn in the side of the Coalition, but no one knows where she came from. She wears red fire and white hot style clothes, and her face is covered with a sort of mask that protects her eyes from flash bangs, but not exactly hiding her facial features. She looks Human, but no one knows for sure. There is one thing for sure, she is quite gorgeous and isn't afraid to use that weapon.
HISTORY
To Break the Coalition with Lava
During the events of the Doomin Civil War, the Hotilians were able to break away from the Lavinians, destroying the power that they once held in their sector. The Kanorians took advantage of the power vacuum to lay claim to neutral territory in-between the Coalition and the Lavinian Empire. The Lavinians launched a surprise attack, scattering the two Kanorian fleets in the area. Before the Kanorians could respond, the Lavinians had captured most of the territory the Kanorians had just claimed. Since most of the Kanorian fleets were tied up with assisting the Glacians and the Doomin, very few were available to answer the call. The Lava War had entered a dark period for the Coalition.
The architect of the war was none other than Firestar, the defacto ruler of the Lavinian people. She had convinced them that it was the Coalition's fault that the Hotilians were able to break away and take most of the empire with it (which wasn't too far from the truth, but a flimsy excuse). The Coalition was about to be brought to heel and soon would be on its knees. What Firestar hadn't counted on was the completion of Project Valkyrie (which she had no idea about) and that Shogun Junia would be able to rally the former enemies of Doomin and Glacien to assist the to Coalition in expelling the Lavinian threat. The Battles of Whiskey and Coku-Lida ended with a crushing defeat for the Lavinians and an angry Guardian Republic bearing down and putting the nail in the coffin of the empire. Firestar decided to retreat... but she already had another plan in place.
Sniped!
The Coalition had been able to expand further, closer to the Jordini territory... which surrounded them with very powerful neighbors: The Rolinian, the Litinians, the Hotilians, and now the Kanorians. It would be reasonable to assume that they felt threatened, except that the Litinians had no interest in attacking them (since the Rolinians and their galactic spanning empire was taking their attention) and the Hotilians were new to the party, but had no ill will towards any neighbors. The Rolinian threat had caused them to massively fortify that border, which even if lost, the Rolinians would pay dearly for every bit of territory they wanted. The biggest issue was the Kanorians sliding in and removing the rest of their "breathing room." The building of the Mayu Space Station and the stationing of the 4th Fleet put them really on edge.
What the Jordini didn't know was that they were being manipulated by Firestar into having these problems with their new neighbors. In fact, the Kanorians placed the 4th there since they took bad losses against the Lavinians and needed to rebuild and repair. The Kanorians believed that since the Jordini were more concerned with the Rolinians, that putting such a weakened fleet there would help ease tensions. Firestar made sure to stoke the flames of fear within the Jordini, by suggesting that it was only a prelude to a greater invasion from their new neighbors. While many argued against that assertion, some with the real power believed the first shot would be the most important. Plus, the power that absorbing the Coalition could offer (or being absorbed themselves), meant that the true threat of the Rolinians could be abated.
Firestar, however, had an even more vicious plan in action. At a nearby star system on the Kanorian side of the border, Shogun Kevin Junia and his fiancée Anri Nakao, cousin of Kenshin and Myuu Takeda, were visiting to help ease fears and tensions. Firestar had moved a sniper in place to kill Shogun Junia… except that Anri had sensed it and moved the Shogun out of the way while she took the three shots, which would later kill her. This drove Shogun Junia to grief and anger, and Firestar feared she blew her shot... except that she choose to make it look like it was the Jordini who had ordered it. This pissed off Shogun Junia, who took his fleet towards Kanorian to demand a declaration of war.
The other part of Firestar's plan, however, went into play and the Jordini launched a Pearl Harbor sneak attack against the 4th Fleet, severely damaging it and Mayu Station. What prevented victory was the 10th Fleet's retaliation (since their Fleet Admiral was stationed nearby, anticipating such an attack). Also, the 8th Fleet returned for clean-up duty. Later, the Kanorian council would declare war and Myuu would leave the life of model and idol to become a starfighter pilot. The Jordini were defeated in short order, and unlike the previous three wars, they had been fully absorbed into the Coalition (part of their request when they surrendered anyhow). Firestar tried to escape into to Rolinian territory, but was pursued by Shogun Junia and others. She escaped into an anomaly and "disappeared" alongside Shogun Junia and a few others.
Fire and Darkness
A few years after this disappearance... and just shortly after the events of Sailor Stars, Firestar found herself in the Sol System near Earth's Point D, where she picked up an anomaly. She investigated this anomaly and found the frozen body of Queen Beryl. Doing a bit of research, she realized who she stumbled upon and smiled evilly. There was no way such a person should be dead and she wouldn't allow it. She used her ship and own abilities to breathe new life into the Dark Queen Beryl, and upon successful revival, proposed an alliance with her to capture Earth and the Sol system... which would allow Firestar to point a dagger near the heart of the Coalition's own capital.
TRIVIA
- True to her name, she loves fire... she's a damn pyromaniac.
