Previous Life

Leona was the 3rd child of the Empress of Saturn, Jenn, and her human husband, Keith. Unlike her sisters, Leona was more of a tomboy. She preferred to wear a prince's garment over a princess's dress, and she wore her hair in a long ponytail, just like the princes and young males would. Leona had a strong sense of justice, and she was very avid to protect anyone weaker than her, and she would generally protect her younger brother, Devyen, from bullies and their older brother, Atrus. She was a very active youth, training with the boys who aspired to join the royal guard. Many times, she found herself picking fights with anyone who challenged her for being a girl. This, unfortunately, caused her to develop a short temper and she would be easily enraged by those who teased her and would lose control, beating the boys up badly. She would have trouble controlling her temper, until her mother warned Leona that she would pull her from training permanently. Her father stepped forward, and suggested a challenge to help tame her temper. He made an agreement to his headstrong daughter, stating if she can maintain her temper and avoid fighting, she can apply to the position of Captain of the Royal Guard.

Leona knew this was a very important position, and it would require a steadfast and strong person with a focused mind. She promised her father she would overcome her temper, and earn that position. It was a difficult trial for her, as the boys would always tease her, and tell her she could never be the Captain of the Royal Guard, and that they could never respect her as a captain. She would grit her teeth and endure it all, wanting to prove her worth and ability to overcome all of them. Her brother Atrus would occasionally come to her defense, but she would tell him to let them be. She was determine to undergo all the punishment to maintain her composure, and keep herself from going into a rage against those who would one day become her soldiers.
