History
Andrea Dioli was born in America as the daughter of a son of an Italian immigrant. Having always considered himself male from a young age, Andy, as he preferred to be called most times, clashed with his parents, who refused to view him as a boy through much of his life. His only supporter was his grandfather, also named Andrea Dioli. As soon as he was able, he ran away from home and moved in with his grandfather, who supported and funded his sexual reassignment surgery. He lived with said Grandfather until the elder Andrea passed away. Having left his grandson nearly everything, the elder Andrea expected him to live comfortably, but this was not the case as his estranged parents returned, insisting that as he was not the person he was when the will was written years ago, he was ineligible to receive anything and was forced onto the streets.

- Andrea is a male name in Italy, the local version of Andrew. It means Manly or Virile. Dioli is said to a surname derived from Andrea.
