Background
The Intern is the #1 agent of The Division, formerly second only to their old Co-Ordinator. Unlike The Intern of Earth 1337-A, she never fought in The Time War, but is a survivor of the Flux event that nearly wiped out her universe, and fought extensively in the wars that followed for control of what little resources were left. She lost her right eye on her wedding day during an assassination attempt that saw her husband, Xadium, killed. She was recruited to Division just before her Gallifrey was destroyed by The Master. (Which, ironically, may have been caused by the redirection of the Pythia's curse to her universe by her alternate universe counterpart in 1337-A).
A moody, unpredictable genius who tries her best to be moral and ethical but will not shy away from making unpleasant choices.
Promotion by force
On July 25th, 2024, The Intern staged a coup against the head of The Division, The Actuary, managing to debilitate and capture her with the help of Vermellia X. Rosso in her Darkness form. The reason for this betrayal was that The Intern realized The Actuary was going to wage indiscriminate war against all splinters of Simon Kerrick regardless of the consequences to the universe.
She now has total operational control of The Division, but she inherits a legacy of clandestine projects she is not fully aware of...
Personality
She is confident and sure of herself, but also wise enough to know she doesn't know everything, and will take correction if the argument is sound. She is paranoid when it comes to military matters and does not trust easily. Her desire for a peaceful Omniverse exists in tension with the dark, unsavory things she often has to do to protect it.
She does not like to flaunt her technology or capabilities, preferring stealth and surprise to all else. She likes to integrate her technology into ordinary-looking everyday objects, and fully utilize Transcendentally dimensional engineering to achieve feats and effects that for an intents and purposes look like magic.
She is the sort who would hyperdimensionally park a massive 80 kilometer-long battleship in the space between two atoms in your drink, and then expand it within your body the moment you took your first gulp if she was trying to kill you.
Capabilities
Even more so than her counterpart in Earth 1337-A, she is a prodigal engineering genius, with the innate ability to completely reproduce any technology she sees once she understands it (a process that does not take long). She lets her imagination run wild and conceives of possibilities no other Time Lord would even begin to consider.
Trivia
- Intern has seen her share of action on frontlines all across the Omniverse.
- Her full name is Neminixblodxadium. Unlike her 1337-A variant, she was never adopted by house Sonara, nor did she take engineering courses at Arcal Academy. She is a prodigy who rose through the ranks of Prydon Academy and has an innate knack for technological improvisation.
- She constantly eats to fuel her brain.
- Her Eyepatch serves as a Time Ring / augmented reality display / comms device telepathically connected to her brain. It can fire staser blasts, connect to computers and act under her mental instructions.
- All her clothing and gear is constructed out of psychoactive programmable matter whose dimensions were visualised by her mentally at nanoscale and then keyed directly into an energy fabricator.
- She considers her alternate self at the HOTEL to be "lacking in imagination", and her counterpart considers her "lacking in discipline."
