Ultra Guardian Sailor Q4

Ultra Guardian Sailor Q4 is the name of the fourth arc of the Sailor Q story. The events of the story take place in 1994 ( and ran the course of 38 "episodes".

Story Summery

The Nightmare Begins (Episode 152)

It's during a break from school and Matsumi finds herself at a museum, having been invited by there by Michiru in order to get a chance to see a new exhibition of her latest art. However, the teenager has overslept, meaning she has just missed the big reveal. After being scolded by and getting into an argument with Freya, Matsumi runs off, nearly bumping into one of the other visiting artists and finds herself in a disused part of the building. She suddenly thinks she hears a voice calling out to her and following it, discovered an apperently abandoned exhibit covered in a large cloth. Removing the covering, she finds herself staring at an ornate and antique mirror. Looking into the dark glass, she can't help but make faces, staring at her own reflection. However, she suddenly finds herself feeling faint and dizzy and for a moment has a strange hallucination of herself falling into the mirror itself.

Matsumi suddenly is bolted awake by the sound of screaming from the museum. Running back, Matsumi finds Freya, who alerts the girl to an attack occurring at one of the exhibits. Following the cat, Matsumi discovered the artist she had bumped into from before, cowering before a strange female creature, who demands the artist's identity. Watching in horror, the girl witnesses the creature seeming to remove the artist's face, placing it in a strange bottle like container. Matsumi transforms into Sailor Quinox and attacks the creature directly, managing to free the face from the jar, causing it to return to the artist, who runs off in fright. The creature, meanwhile, manages to keep the sailor senshi on her toes, ignoring her questions about where she came from and apparently shrugging off her best attacks. Finally, Quinox manages to defeat the creature by turning it's attacks against it, who turns into an empty mask, which shatters on the ground.

With the museum once more calmed down, Matsumi is weirded about by what had happened, especially since she has no idea on the creature's origins, a fear Freya seems to share. As she's leaving, however, she grows even more disconcerted when she thinks she sees a double of herself walking away from the crowd, giving a wicked grin at her...
