Trial Procedure
This is the standard format for non-witness trials operating under the aegis of Shadow Proclamation / Alien Zone courts. They can either be before juries, tribunals or a single bench judge, depending upon the nature of the proceeding and staffing realities. The judge /inquisitor may intervene at any time to ask questions of either side.

| Prosecution's Opening Statement | The Prosecution makes its opening statement, laying out the charges, what it desires, and the foundation of its argument as to why relief should be granted. |
| Defense Opening and Rebuttal | The Defense makes its Opening Statement and addresses the details of the Prosecution's case as it sees fit. |
| Prosecution Cross Examination | The Prosecution asks direct questions of the Defense. |
| Defense Cross, Remarks and Rebuttal | The Defense can ask direct questions of the Prosecution, address the points raised on cross by the Prosecution previously and advance its own case as it sees fit. |
| Prosecution Rebuttal and Closing Statement | The Prosecution attempts to rebut the arguments of the Defense and makes its closing statement. |
| Second Defense Rebuttal and Closing Statement | The Defense addresses the arguments of the previous speech and makes its closing statement. |
Each Side may have two recesses, to be claimed at their discretion, in order to regroup. Recesses should not last more than 15 minutes a piece, and cannot be combined.
