The Song of Hnossa

The Song of Hnossa is an ancient literary piece dating from the second year of the Golden Age of Quinox. It is a Aes'ula or a Cycle Song, sung between two singers, each building upon the other in rounds.

The song concerns a dialogue between the ruler of Hnossa, one of the moons of Quinox and Fas'lana, one of The Six and guardian of the wild. The ruler asks Fas'lana on the nature of the wilderness, while Fas'lana asks the ruler on the nature of herself. Each line adds a question, which is then answered with another question. The piece is usually performed six times in a row.

The song is part of a greater series of musical pieces known as The Quinoxiade, which each song relating to a different moon.
