Mycidia Prime is the second planet in the Mycidius Oma system in the galaxy PGC 54876 in the Corona Borealis Supercluster. It is one of the core worlds of the Galactic Trade Confederation.

Geography

Mycidia Prime is made up of three large continents; Yumisa, Vyali and Tursunia; as well as a series of smaller islands, surrounded by two oceans, H'busly Ocean and Rgyu Ocean.

Much of the landscape of the planet is covered in verdant forests, so thick that it gives the entire planet a green look from space. There are exceptions to this, however, such as the (very small) polar regions to the north, as well as a series of mountains that run through the center of Tursunia. Although this mountains were created through volcanic activity, most activity at present is fairly rare.

Flora and Fauna

As a forest world, Mycidia Prime is teeming with a vast amount of plant and animal life. Outside of it's dominate species, the Mycidians, other well known examples of fauna include Yretas (Ferret like creatures that lack back legs), Tenliu (large rodents which glide from tree to tree using huge flaps of skin), Hua birds (birds of varying colors about the size of a thumb) and Fynia (horse sized lizards with a poisonous bite).

While there is a huge number of flowers, plants and fungus, the planet is perhaps best known for it's trees. The average Mycidian Tree stands at least 800 ft and usually are about 20 ft wide. Due to the vast number of trees, the various species of animals on the planet have learned to live within or alongside the trees, including the Mycidians who build their cites in such a way to avoid harming or destroying the plants.
