KAT
The Kaiju Attack Team (KAT) is an international defense team formed to combat Seijin (Aliens), Seijuh (Space Monsters), and Kaiju (Giant Monsters).
Overview
KAT (Kaiju Attack Team) was founded as a branch of the USDF (United Special Defense Force) in the year 2007 (the Japanese branch was established in 2008). The team was put together in response to the so-called "Arizona Incident," in which a large flying monster attacked a small town, wiping it off the face of the Earth. Under the guidance of Generals Ueno and Yamanaka, KAT was set up as an anti-Kaiju/anti-Seijin task force.
While a member of KAT, an individual is given jurisdiction above that of the normal law enforcement officer (aka police officers, security guards, etc.) unless given orders to the contrary. While considered part of the military of their host country, they are not legally under the command of that military. All orders come from KAT main headquarters. KAT members cannot be ordered to take part in military actions outside of their work description. All KAT members are issued with a Laser Gun, Neo-Comm, and official credentials.

On 7 January, 2011, KAT officially closed its doors as an organization after the destruction of most of its branches by the Guda-Tyrant attack, with all members let go or transferred to other posts. Z-KAT has since taken its place.

Team Position: Captain
Description: The Captain of KAT Japan, Ryoma is a calm yet strict leader. He tolerates little in the way of disobeying orders but at times shows a softer side to his subordinates.

Team Position: Deputy Captain
Description: Recently arrived from KAT British Headquarters, Goro is a bit easier on the others then the Captain, but is at the same time strict in the field. Refuses to carry guns.

Team Position: Field Agent 1
Description: Hot-headed and self optioned, Takahashi is a self-proclaimed “gun expert” who can be found polishing his Laser Gun, when not trying (and failing) to be a lady’s man. Has a grudge against Taki for some reason. He is a bit of a jerk, but good at his job. Takahashi lost his left leg in a battle against EX-Barabas on 11/23/10, and he now as a prosthetic one.
Takahashi is now pursuing his original dream of becoming a car designer.

Team Position: Field Agent 2
Description: A mechanical whiz and science expert, Kazu is likable fellow, though he sometimes goes off in his own little world.
Age: 20
Team Position: Field Agent 3
Description: Highly aggressive, Megumi takes no slack nor tongue from anyone. She sometimes gets in arguments with Nana, though they get along more often then not. She has a grudge against Takahashi.
Age: 19
Team Position: Field Agent 4/Communications
Description: In charge of communications, Nana is a bit of a daydreamer and romantic. However, she is also a highly qualified field agent and can handle a gun well enough. Has an older sister and nephew. She and Miara have become good friends, and do often socialize together.
Age: physically 20, in reality 1802
Team Position: Field Agent 5
Description: Quiet, introverted, and aloof at times, Taki is none the less well liked and seemingly good at everything. The others have given him the nick name "Miracle Man" due to the the number of crashes and accidents he's survived without much injury. This was before they knew he was Ultraman Mu, however. Does not get along with Takahashi. See Taki's page for more on him.
Taki has been made a Captain in Z-KAT and is building that new team.

Team Position: Special Agent
Descripition: After assisting Taki and KAT on two missions, the captain made Miara Mitsuki a "special agent."
Tech
An all around device used by all members of the KAT team. It contains a communication device, a connection to a database on all past monster/seijin attacks on Earth, and a translation device to translate alien languages.
Gun given to all members. Has several settings including: laser beam, laser bullet, and the ability to add in specialized bullets for certain missions.
A specialized gun, named after how much more powerful the gun is compared to the regular laser gun.
Mecha
Located all around the world, KAT headquarters holds the latest in monster fighting technologies and all the needs of the members of the team. The Japanese headquarters includes the KAT team, specialists, and technicians, as well as other workers. It includes a built in hangar, launcher, laboratories, and more. The Japanese headquarters are located right outside of Tokyo.
About three stations (originally four) KAT space stations are in orbit around the Earth. Each station carries about 13 personal on board. The stations each contain high tech surveillance equipment (though it only operates within the vacuum of the space; cannot detect events on Earth) and three specially altered KAT Jets. Recenetly, through unknown circumstances, all KAT Space Stations were destroyed by an unknown power, killing all those aboard.
A modified Acura Integra. The interior is reinforced and includes inside radar, communcation devices as well as cup holders. The headlamps hide two laser guns inside.
Specially built flying vehicle, usually used by Takahashi and Megumi. Shaped similer to a F-22, but with sweeped back wings. Equipped with laser shooters, and missile launcher.
Used by Taki Kensei most of all, a wider vehicle compared to the Jet I. Contains one laser cannon and two machine guns.
Specially modified Jet I for space travel and combat. Found on KAT Space Stations. All Space KAT jets were recenetly destroyed along with the space stations under unknown circumstances.
KAT's flying fortress. Newly built. Similer in design to a Black Bird but much larger. Carries a Jet I and Jet II.
A drill tank built for underground combat. The drill head is made of over 2000 artificial diamonds.
Submarine built for underwater combat. Holds three.
