Arrancar

An arrancar is a Hollow which has removed its mask and gained access to the powers of a Soul Society Shinigami. This is called shinigamification or shimigami-ka. Before a rebellion in Soul Society, arrancar were rarities and curiosities at best, thankfully, for the Shinigami; however, now that certain technologies are in the hands of Hueco Mundo, the process can be artificially performed and arrancar have become an infrequent but extremely dangerous sight. Much like Shinigami, arrancar wield Zanpakuto, and much like, an arrancar is capable of releasing the powers of their sword.

Unlike the shinigami, release though an arrancar's own power is sealed into their sword, and the release process called resurreccion returns the hollow to an approximation of their more monstrous pre-shinigamification body. Three known arrancar frequent #suburbansenshi2: Langley Kahara and Sato Hisako, who are alternate-dimension incarnations of Furu Ikari and Yura, and Yura Leocardia, the iteration of Yura native to the Prime Dimension.
