At the very center of the Moon Kingdom lay the world of Luna, orbiting it's satellite planet Earth. Settled upon by the descendants of refugees from the world of Selenos, these remarkable people truly created a place befitting the title of the center of this grand empire. Lakes of the purest waters pool in marble craters, fed by effervescent streams leading from grand cities of the whitest stone from which the sunlight dances upon their surface. However, nothing is quite so remarkable as the Castle of the Moon, a grand edifice from which the royal family not only rules Luna but the entirely of the Moon Kingdom. From this location, Queen Serenity and her forebears looked upon their larger satellite, acting as benevolent guardians to these more primative people. It is said there is too life on the dark side of The Moon but few speak of it beyond whispers of an equal and opposite power to the queen.

Sun

At the center of every system, there lays a star and that which lies in the center of the Solar System is certainly one of the most glorious. Though not the largest nor brightest of it's brethren, The Sun is just the right size to provide the needed light and warmth that many worlds needed. There were tales that just below the surface, a kingdom with it's own people lie, specially adapted to exist on floating cities of glistening gold and copper, though none were able to come in contact with such beings if they did indeed exist. The Sun was also home to what would become one of the most feared powers in the entire Solar System, a power of pure chaos, born from the furthest edges of space, taking the form of a dark shadow within the star itself, though this would not truly manifest itself until much later.

Mercury

The planet Mercury was perhaps the most unusual in terms of worlds within the Moon Kingdom's domains. In orbit extremely close to the Sun, the planet experienced drastic environmental changes not seen in any other world. At often times, one side would find itself freezing cold, while the other would be consumed by the most terrible flames imaginable. Still life did survive, adapting to the wiles of this chaotic nature, with animals most often able to either hide away during such changes or protect themselves from the damages which they would normally experience. This was assisted with further augmentation through the technology of the humanoid inhabitants. For the Mercurians themselves, they went a different route, building great domed cities, made from the very metals which protected the planet itself, so shining and translucent as to be mistaken for great structures of ice. Within these walls could be find the finest academic and scientific bodies in the whole of the Solar System, as well as the largest library known to the Moon Kingdom, The Library of Herminas, run by the royal family itself. It's people too were seen as rather unusual, cold and logical at times and at the same time burning with a curiosity of all things which seemed to have no end.

Venus

Perhaps one of the most famous as well as the most mysterious, the planet Venus is second only to The Moon in terms of importance. Famed far and wide for its beautiful landscapes of shining trees, crystalline mountains and lakes of golden waters, the planet as well was the financial hub of the Moon Kingdom. Out of any other world, its excess amount of gold became a cornerstone to the Solar System economy, granting it first in choice of trade. The aforementioned nature of the planet's ecosystem also contribute it to becoming a favorite vacation spot for those from the other worlds. As mentioned before, however, the world as well had a deeply mysterious side to it. An interloper to the Solar System and rumored to hav originated far out in space, it's royal family while admired was at the same time somewhat feared, with whispers of a mysterious spirit known only as "Ishtar" to have been bonded to the head of their clan as part of some strange deal made long ago. These, however, were mearly rumors with no evidential facts to back it up.

Earth

The satellite of Luna and one of the lesser worlds of the Moon Kingdom, the Earth itself is shrouded in it's own mysteries. While it has been said that the people that inhabited it were raised up from savagery thanks to the energies of the Lunarians, there are still others that claim a much more monstrous form of life had prevailed before hand and had branched off from the more humanoid type which later became dominate on the planet. Whatever the case may be, few of the Moon Kingdom paid much heed to this world outside of use of it as a personal playground for the rich in their early days. Later events would favor giving greater atonomey to this planet, though this would prove to breed resentment from the populace. It was said that the planet was home to an inner dimension, a dream like world known only as Elyseum, from which a golden crystal could be found, though some felt this mearly an attempt by the Earthlings to try and raise themselves up to the level of the people of Luna. Few else is said about Earth beyond this.

The Moon (Luna)

From this location, Queen Serenity and her forebears looked upon their larger satellite, acting as benevolent guardians to these more primitive people. It is said there is too life on the dark side of The Moon but few speak of it beyond whispers of an equal and opposite power to the queen.

Mars

The world of Mars is perhaps one of the most diverse in the entire Solar System, rivaled only by the planet Earth. While ruled by it's royal family, it is also home to the fearsome Ice Warriors, the savage Barsoomians and the Clan of Vernage. This world was famed throughout the system for two things. The first was its Martial Academies, originally founded in order to hold back the reptilian warriors who had previously existed on the planet, but later grew to become one of the most necessary foundations of the Solar System. Many famous soldiers, generals and high officers trained within these schools. The second is it's deeply spiritual side, it's temples and shrines becoming a popular destination for pilgrims from other worlds. It was a known fact that the Queen of Mars often was titles "Guardian by Sword and Spirit", something befitting an inhabitant of this aggressive world.

Kantek Ruins

Laying between the Mars and Jupiter was the remains of the ancient world known in texts and histories as Kantek. Thought to have been a planet almost as large as the giants themselves, the world was shattered to millions of pieces, leaving behind a mystery which baffled many scholars of the time. The largest of these asteroids, however, would found their own kingdoms, built over the ruins and technology of a long lost civilization. Rumors abounded at the time that the worlds of Vesta, Pallas, Ceres, and Juno were the centers of a specialized team of warriors, who would take on the tasks that no other guardian would but those within the Moon Kingdom were quick to deny it. Those that have visited these small worlds have spoken of architecture found no where else in the Solar System, suggesting influences which may have predated Selanos. The Kantek Ruins were also the home to The Kantek Archives, a depository of data from across the Solar System.

Jupiter

Next to The Moon and Venus, Jupiter was perhaps one of the most glorious of all the planets within the Solar System. A vast giant covered in gardens and forests, with villages nesteled along green flowered mountains, Jupiter was seen as a true heavenly paradise, a jewel in the crown of the Moon Kingdom. Born from this landscape was a society which was perhaps just as impressive as it's gigantic stature. The people of Jupiter, proud but kind, had created for themselves a grand monarchistic republic, bolstered by what would later grow into the seeds of the Imperial Space Navy.

Saturn

The ringed planet, Saturn is perhaps one of the most ancient of all the worlds which has existed in the Solar System. Covered in dark marshes and swamps, as well as forested fens, this world gave rise to a civilization which for much of it's history was unrivaled in its power and scope. Though this "Saturn Glorania" would vastly shrink by the time the Selenos arrived, Saturn still retained much of it's strength in the form of it's empire of moons. The civilization which arose from this was seeped deeply in mysticism and the arcane, with a strong tie to the world of spirits as well as the power of Silence and the strange energy known only as The Flame. Due to this, the planet was both greatly respected and feared by other members of the Moon Kingdom, with all but ruler of the Moon weary of any action which may arise from this world.

Uranus

Often seen as the harshest of the Outer Worlds, the planet's orbital disruption due to the mysterious stellar body did nothing to change this fact. Covered in thick clouds both natural and man made, Uranus was a rough home for a rough people living on dense materials floating on oceans of gas and liquid. Covered for most of it's surface with low lying tundra lands, Uranians became known for their paranoid and harsh views on life, allowing them to become ideal soldiers and guardians of the frontier but making them less likely to trust those from outside their world's orbit. The planet prided itself on acting as an industrial center within the Solar System, it's capitol acting as a massive production zone for necessary objects for the Inner Worlds and several of it's satellites acting as makeshift factories as well. This output had the unfortunate side effect of turning the once purified mists into clouds of metallic smelling smog. The world was also known for it's passive aggressive relationship with nearby planet Neptune, with some rumors abounding that Neptune held the real power between the two worlds.

Neptune

Often called the most graceful of kingdoms, Neptune was a world rivaled only by Mercury in it's unfriendly terrain or rather lack of it. Covered in nearly 80% water, the only solid land consisted of a mere few systems of small islands. While some of these were inhabited, many Nepunians instead preferred living in large gold and crystal domed cities under their vast oceans. Protected for the most part from attack and from disruption from weather and storm, the Nepunians created a culture which prized grace and art above all else, their works often seen as much sought after prizes by other worlds. The royal family itself is known for being quite graceful and in one noted observer's words "stunning" though a tad prideful. Neptune is also known for it's relationships with the other outer worlds, most notably their close ties with Uranus, sometimes accused of bordering on manipulation as well as their cold rivalry with the planet Quinox.

Pluto

The planet where men go mad. That was one description given to this tiny world. Very little is known of this kingdom, as those who have visited have either forgotten what they have seen or have gone insane due to the experience. One of the few to come back and provide any manner of lucid information described "a world within a world" and "shadows of things that should not be taking those that should be". Very little is known of the Plutonians themselves as well, their royal family and especially their Seer-Queen often being seen as little more then silent witnesses during meetings of other royals. Perhaps one day the truth may be discovered about this strange planet.

Nibiru

While every world has it's fair share of legends and myths surrounding it, none have invited more strange stories attached to it then the planet Nibiru. A long dead world, bereft of any form of life, it's surface is covered in strange and twisted alien ruins, belonging to long dead civilizations forgotten by almost all. Names such as Osiran and Annunaki are whispered from the few who have seen images of such things but many feel that such things are best left alone. Thankfully, the planet's orbit is such that it barely ever comes within range of the other worlds, leaving it to be nothing more then a tale to scare children.

Nemesis

The world where the forgotten and the soon to be forgotten were left, Nemesis was a dark world hidden by the shadow of the sun, directly in opposite orbit of Pluto. Little is known about this terrifying land, beyond the fact that its surface was covered in black cracked stone and sickly green crystal. There are legends of a terrible sorceress locked away within its confines, her power poisoning the very structure of the world but no one had been brave enough to test this theory. The world had only been known for one other thing, the rumor of it acting as a dumping ground for the murderous and the wicked, though this too was never proven.

Mondas

There has long been talk of the worlds which orbited on the other side of the Sun, hidden from the Moon Kingdom by the star's great size. While several of these worlds are known, there are some which have fallen since into mere legend. The world of Mondas was said to have once existed in such a state as it's fellow worlds, with the unique distinction of acting as the direct twin of the planet Earth, it's own feature mirroring that of the noted, if primitive planet. However, long ago, a traveling celestial body passed through the Solar System, ripping the planet away from it's natural orbit and sent it traveling far beyond the reaches of the Solar System. Due to this occurring so long ago within history, almost nothing is known of the planet beyond it's sad fate.

Astartes

Out of all the worlds which lie in the shadowlands of the Sun, Astartes is both the most like the other worlds of the Moon Kingdom as well as the most feared of them all. The world seems to have acted as a dark mirror of the planet Venus, a land of shadowy forests, dark lagoons and misty plains dotted with obsidian rocks. Beyond the few animals which make their living there, The planet itself seems to be deserted of any humanoid life, the only sign of intelligent construction being being a single castle made of the same black stone for which much of the world is made up of. Rumor has it that this castle, for whom only a few have ever dared to visit, serves as the home or perhaps tomb of an ancient spirit, a goddess which existed before the coming of the Selenos. Legend also speaks that if this goddess was ever to awaken, it could change the balance of good and evil in the whole of the galaxy. No one has yet to test this tale.

Oort Cloud

Beyond the orbit of the final major planet in the Solar System lays the Oort Cloud, sometimes known as the Wilderness or the Frontier. Though this name may invite the mental image of a place of chaos, this vast area of floating stones and ice were not without their own civilizations. Planets here included the Kuiper Confederation (Ixion, Orcus, Varuna) as well as dwarf planets such as Haumea, Salacia, MakeMake, Venti, and Eris. Due to the remoteness of these worlds, most often they saw themselves less as directly under the power of the Moon Kingdom and more like independent bodies acting as allies to far more populace partners in the interest of protecting the Solar System. Many of these worlds forged their own alliances with specific major planets, with a few even claiming loyalty to these planets above that of the Moon itself. At the same time, this area was known to be a favorite hiding place for raiders and those who sought to escape the much more tightly policed areas of the Solar System.

Quinox

The furthest of all the planets laying on the edge of the frontier and a guardian of this wilderness, Quinox is a planet bathed in eternal twilight, its only light coming from the twin moons which orbit it, its glow provided by a nearby gravitational lens. The kingdom that lays on this world is ancient, perhaps one of the oldest in all the solar system, predating the coming of the Selenos themselves and thus has bred a society which prides itself in being highly independent and self-sufficient from others, this confidence best symbolized by Mysn Castle, an immense structure which seems to reach into the sky itself. Beyond its purple grasses and vast forests, the other thing of note that visitors often mention are flocks of giant moths, a creature which has become so bred into the Quinoxian culture as to become a common necessity for their survival.

Allies

Mau

Mysterious Mau. Magnificent Mau. A planet chosen by a mysterious feline deity millions of years ago, Mau was one of the first planets outside the Solar System which the Moon Kingdom made contact with. They soon forged a close relationship with the planet, so much so that very often rulers would choose advisors from this planet, so trustworthy was it thought. The humanoids which inhabited this world were unusual in that they were able to shift between two forms, one humanoid and one feline, though most often they would remain in their feline form to conserve their energy. Due to this, their architecture was build in such a way to accomdinate both forms. It is thought that this world soon fell due to the actions of a dark power, leaving many of their people refugees on other planets.

Coronis

Far beyond the borders of both the Solar System and the star system of Mau lays this mysterious planet, a colony of an ancient race which had since long abandoned it. From this world was born a species of bird people, able to shift themselves between the forms of humanoid and avian, existing in cities floating high in the clouds above the great canopies of giant trees and mountains. Highly spiritual, these people somehow, through means which have been lost in the mists of history, made contact with the planet of Mars, becoming close allies to the war-like planet. It is thus that when the planet eventually fell to the powers of a dark conquerer, the only two remaining survivors of that world made their way to Mars for safety.
