Thrash: Odyssey is the name of a maxi-series which occurred behind the scenes during the events of the Gallifrey Incident. The story concerns the journey of Thrash through a number of unknown locations in search of answers to the mystery of how he got there.

Stories

The Lost

Seemingly surviving the destruction of his TARDIS thanks to the use of a half-functioning Time Ring, Thrash finds himself in the middle of a desolate plain underneath an ever-changing sky, lost in his own thoughts and cut off from the safety of his ship. However, he was not alone. How did a young woman and a WWI pilot end up on this solitary world? Who constructed the paved highway which seems to stretch out into infinity, and who or what is The Artifact, whose name is carved into the side of a dune?

Time is growing short for Thrash, as in this land, the missing never seem to remain alive for long...

Gravity's Widow

The Gravity's Widow, the largest ship of the fleet. Here the rich and the wealthy indulge in their favorite pastime: observing the death of stars and their planetary systems. Catered to by robotic staff and given all they wish, the vessel is truly a paradise for those who can afford it, and this trip promises to be the most amazing. The grand spectacle of a sun collapsing into a black hole and only the most elite are allowed on this trip.

It comes as a shock when two stowaways appear. As the ship detective investigates the strange man known as Thrash and his companion, the lovely Sivan, there are stranger things afoot. A dark secret haunts the glamorous Gravity's Widow and as the hour of the greatest spectacle in the universe draws close, the passengers may find themselves forced to face their own sins and pay the ultimate price.

Empire and Death

The 15th Platoon of Her Majesty's Empire has been stationed at Fort Brigade for nearly 12 months now. Moral is low. Action is scarce and communication from home is rare. To make matters worse, the commanding officer has slowly begun to lose his own sanity in the face of the unkind desert and many soldiers have suggested desertion as the only solution, but what chance do they have out there in the sandy wastelands?

However, things are about to change. Thrash and Sivan arrive at the scene just as the dull routine of the Platoon is disrupted in a spectacular way. A strange craft has been spotted, crashing into the farthest dune--a flying vessel from beyond the stars. It brings with it a terrible plague of strange alien insects, as large as a man. As the platoon prepares for battle, the question is, what will destroy them first?: The enemy without or the enemy within?

Saga

Four travelers are lost in a snowy mountain pass. The blizzard has become too hazardous to allow any further travel, so they decide to wait out the storm within a small cavern. It should not be long and they have plenty of supplies to allow them to do so.

In the meantime, they decide to tell each other stories. Tales of the man named Thrash and his female companion, the lovely Sivan. Tales of grand cities haunted by ancient shadows. Tales of a forgotten treasure underneath a vast ocean. Tales to inspire and to terrify.

For these are the stories of Thrash but not every story has a happy ending and perhaps this time, his journey may come to a final end.

Heaven Fire

It is to be the greatest project of the city of Uru, a great tower to reach to the heavens themselves. The archatect hopes to gain great reward from this feat. The Priests hope to commune with their gods from it. The King hopes to find the answers which will allow him to live forever from it. All are eager to see it finished, even if it means the sacrifice of the lives of slaves and common man alike in it's construction.

Not all is well, however. Shadows linger among the half built structure. Men are driven mad by visions they claim to have come from the deities themselves. Fear follows in the wake and soon construction is halted. A time of death and reflection hangs over all and even the visiting Thrash soon find himself confronted by what they had hoped to forget. After all, how can one defeat a threat when it comes from within yourself?

Magnum Opus

The glass city of Operium is one of the crowning jewels of the planet and at it's heart is the Theater of Souls. Here natives and visitors alike can witness their heart's desires come true, their life stories being told and even their greatest nightmares be brought to life. So when Thrash and Sivan arrive, they are more then a little intrigued by the promise of truly groundbreaking entertainment. Not all is well behind the scenes of the stage though.

The Great Author has grown bored, bored of the little performances being put on, bored by the endless tales which have promised entertainment but seem all the same to them. They have their plan, though, a plan which will encompass the entire city and it's people. The show is about to start. The curtains are drawn. Now sit back and watch the final performance. You will not want to this miss this.

The Deep

Thrash and Sivan had hoped to find someplace safe to rest themselves. The last thing that they would have expected was to find themselves within a gigantic cavern. The two travelers have arrived at a large grotto laying more then a mile beneath the waves of a gigantic ocean. However, they are not alone. They soon discover the survivors of the sunken research vessel IHS Explorer.

Half the crew is suspicious of the two, while the other half is desperate for their help and their leader has been crippled by a mysterious disease. Escape may be more dangerous then it seems. There are many things that live in the ocean and one predator has taken a liking to the group. If they are to make it back to the surface, they will have to face an ancient evil, one hungering from the depths.

Beyond all Dreams

Arriving in a small village, Thrash and Sivan take the moment to relax and rest themselves before continuing on their journey. Befriending the local tailor, the two travelers soon settle into small roles in the town, content in allowing themselves this time of peace. However, there is much about the land that they do not understand.

For on the hour of midnight, strange creatures from beyond the moon arrive, seeking the villagers. Beings made of bronze and glass, beings who live on a floating island in space. Thrash and Sivan find themselves in a world of steam and clockworks and soon they will learn that the terrible secrets of this land of peace that they have learned to love.

Absolution

Thrash and Sivan arrive at the strangest of all locations, a blasted landscape dominated by a great vortex in the sky above. Here the great cults arrive in hopes of making contact with their unknown gods, here answers are sought by those with questions and here those who wish to end their existence hope to find a way to the promised afterlife.

There are no villains here, no challenge for the Time Lord and his traveling companion. There is only truth, hard truths for which neither of them wish to discover. For every story must have it's ending and it is time that this one came to it's closure.

The Found

The answer has been discovered at last and now Thrash must find his way back home. A terrible enemy of his awaits him back at his world but now even the world around him fights against his wish to escape. As each world comes back to haunt him, he rediscovers everything that he learned, everything that he had to reflect on.

Sivan too has come to her end. She knows what must be done but she too is frightened, frightened by that which she has revealed to Thrash. If they cannot return to the universe outside, she too will die. Now two souls must join as one and find the path back to the one thing they know to be real: Home.
