A Field Log complied by Matsuo Shin of the exploration of the newly restored planet Venus. Note: these entries are not in any particular order.

“While my first trip was more or less accidental, this time I was far more careful in my approach. I deliberately lowered my vessel far enough below the clouds to see the features of the newly restored planet but high enough to make out distinctive patterns in it’s geography. From my high orbit, I could make out at least two of the continents of the planet of love, of which I am sure there are more. The largest of these two I believe human astronomers refer to as Aphrodite Terra. It is amusing in the fact that what little I do know about the planet from my past is that the names of these lands were the same, suggesting that it may be a subconscious memory left over from the Silver Millennium. The terrain of Aphrodite seems to be a fairly rocky sort, with several lower mountain ranges about it.”

“To the north of this land is the smaller continent of Ishtar Terra or simply Ishtar. Even from this height, I can spot the impressive mountain the humans call Maxwell Montes. I do not recall the actual name and will have to ask Sakura when I see her. I believe i see what seems to be ice over the surface but it may be a trick of the light as well. Given it’s position, I may need to explore that terrain with a proper party. Instead, I will attempt to land on Aphrodite.”
