Artemis is the Mauian cat who is the guardian of Aino Minako. He has both feline and Human forms, but is almost always found in his feline form. He is white with blue eyes and a yellow crescent moon on his forehead. His human form appears as below.

Artemis was formerly married to Luna, which union was dissolved when their daughter Diana's DNA test came up with a different mother. He now lives in the Aino house and has a rather pathetic existence in which he never lives up to his potential. His other daughter, Selene, is a product of the baby project, in which is DNA was paired with that of Matsumi Kaze.

Artemis also been known as the superhero The Catman.

Artemis has green eyes in the manga and PGSM, but blue in the anime. SS's Artemis has stated on numerous occasions his eyes are blue-green.

Artemis' mother never died. Rather she went out to buy milk one day and just never came home.
