Nelius Raoul's notes: During the events of 2022, where the various versions of 1337 began to mix together, I had been checking out events from outside the veil, so to speak, when I had begun noticing small tears, acting as windows to other versions of Earth.

However, one of the windows was able to peer back, and after a few introductions I began an information exchange with several of the inhabitants of this timeline.

Here's what I was able to obtain.

History

Roughly one-thousand or so years after the fall of the Silver Millennium, the various Kingdoms of Earth were managing to rebuild and settle down after the cataclysm, forming a sort of government to keep the peace while they planned to reclaim fallen areas and rebuild. However, here is where things deviate.

A wandering Demon Lord, one who popped over to the Human Realm on a whim, saw the defenseless planet of humans and figured conquering it would give them a base of operations. She strolled onto the planet and, as a certain mechanical life form would put it, "assumed direct control".

As to why Earth specifically was targeted, it was due to having active signs of life, and if there was active life, then it meant resources for the taking. Probably would've had a better time checking out the other planets for technology and resources, but let's be honest, not every demon is the sharpest crayon in the shed.

Calling the ensuing battle a massacre would be a vast understatement -- even the weakest among the Netherworld is easily several times the superior of the strongest humans combined. The humans fell with ease, a majority unable to even get close due to the sheer pressure of the Demon Lord's aura, and the few Youma that actively tried to attack didn't fare any better. With nobody able to stop them, this Demon Lord, now proclaiming themself to be the Overlord, began flooding Earth with demonic power, changing the very nature of the world and its inhabitants.

Humanity was no more, and the few Youma that saw fit to flee had to hide themselves in various locations around the world to avoid total extinction. Earth was now a Netherworld, a land of demons and other monsters. Under this new Overlord's rule, technological developments began to accelerate while active magical studies made a resurgence, with effectively no resistance from religious organizations that saw such advancements as an affront to their God.

Things weren't all sunshine and rainbows, though -- this Overlord was fond of forcing their will unto various projects, which actually caused much research and development to stall, garnering resentment from the project leaders, and many began to openly discuss rebellion. To that end, several groups started development on training centers, needing to be careful so as not to alert the Overlord to their intent.

Approximately two centuries after taking over, the Overlord had disappeared one day, most demons considering it another one of their flights of fancy, but when days turned to weeks to months to years and she didn't return, Earth was effectively free now. The world was still one of demons, however, and those whose chafed under the former Overlord's rule had ideas of their own on how to proceed forward.

A number of families whom had less then stellar opinions of the Overlord's rule had begun discussing among themselves who could act as Overlord to reign in the ensuing anarchy. Of course, this being the Netherworld, the idea of sharing power amongst themselves was never considered initially. After much discussion, a few fist fights and one particular clash threatening to turn half of the galaxy into a new asteroid field, a tenuous peace was achieved.

Effectively, Earth got divided up into multiple sectors, with each family taking a different sector -- so not much difference from current day Earth, to be honest.

This peace managed to last for about one millennia, until a certain event occurred. This Earth was temporarily relocated to lend aid during the War with No Victor, where Demon Emperor Void Dark conquered well over two-thirds of the known Netherworlds of that time, his tyrannical rule coming to an abrupt end one night. It would be put back after about two weeks, but what was two weeks to the Netherworld was multiple years to the Sol, given that Netherworld time runs much more slowly.

Needless to say, quite a bit of catch-up was necessary.

Many people believe that the former Overlord who converted Earth had run afoul of Void Dark, fatally so, but no tears were shed.

Spell of Rebirth

Queen Serenity's spell to ensure the children of Sol's royalty would be reborn did finish as expected, but she likely didn't expect that this world would be their place of reincarnation. Of course, many of the sealed evils that attacked the Moon Kingdom also came through... and promptly found themselves in a world they were clearly unprepared to deal with.

Usagi

In what is perhaps one of the more fitting reincarnations, this timeline's Usagi was born as a member of the Wererabbit demon species, much like Overlord Usalia of Toto Bunny.

There are a number of differences here compared to the Usagi we all know, so I'll keep it as brief as possible.

Physiology aside, this Usagi is a touch smarter and far more athletic, though somehow her cheerful disposition managed to remain. Upon tapping into her powers as Sailor Moon, her enhanced capabilities have allowed her to use the purifying techniques inherent to the Moon Kingdom without need for an incantation. She has also shown a proficient talent for healing magic, able to reverse unnatural deaths and bring back such people even stronger than before.

Ami

Ami was born to a well-known family of scientific pioneers, being among one of the first in this timeline to consider the applications of combining science and magic together. Through them, the other planets of the Sol were being explored for signs of the former kingdoms, and after discovering scrapped pieces of old Silver Millennium technology, improvements were the first thing on the list, with terraforming and colonization coming swiftly afterwards.

As Sailor Mercury, her genius allows her to analyze enemies thanks to a set of self-developed contact lenses, and through combining mathematical equations with the power of Mercury she has created all kinds of lethal traps for unwary foes to stumble upon. A favorite of hers is a fractal ice prison that threatens to cut the enemy into pieces if they so much as breathe wrong. Of course, if there were a time she was feeling particularly miffed she instead made use of a freezing mist that, once inhaled, could turn even the hottest demons into ice sculptures from the inside-out.

That said, when not on either job she tends to be a bit reclusive, so not much difference from the one we're familiar with.

Rei

Born to a group who practiced the teachings of "Bushi Road", this incarnation of the Princess of Mars is much more studious, and a bit less hot-tempered. Being trained in Archery from a young age has enhanced her powers as a Sailor Soldier, allowing her to combine multiple archery techniques with her planetary powers.

Rumors were about that fallen angel descent was in her blood, as much like Usagi she knows of a few purification skills, though these may actively be due to her former life. One doesn't leave behind anything in a reincarnation, after all.

Makoto

Found wandering the Netherworld of "Blood Parch", the Princess of Jupiter was delirious and skittish, finding the Netherworld not to her liking. She was brought to Earth, whereupon she began recovering at an accelerated pace. She would later admit to having stumbled through a Dimensional Gate in her sleep, though one should take this with a grain of salt.

A study of her bloodline reveals some Alraune genetics, and as Blood Parch had no normal plant life due to a lack of water, her connections with nature had addled her mind.

As Sailor Jupiter, she mixes martials arts with electrical strikes, and on days she's feeling rather catty she can set vine traps that drain targets of their blood (though she doesn't drink it; she's not a vampire).

Minako

Perhaps one of the more interesting incarnations, Minako was reborn as a Succubus. Something few realize about Netherworld Succubi is that they have inherent shapeshifting powers, allowing them to take on a form their target finds most aesthetically pleasing. For the woman who served as the body double for the Moon Princess, the ability to change her outward appearance at any time is an immense boon.

As Sailor Venus she retains her ferrokinetic skills and access to beams of light. A long-running claim was that she had the ability to bring people together merely by being in the area.

Of course, Netherworld Succubi aren't particularly well-liked by other female demons, barring the Nekomata species, so Minako had an uphill battle in gathering friends.

Mamoru

The Prince of Earth was especially affected by the planet's transformation into a Netherworld. His stage magician abilities as Tuxedo Mask were supplemented by an enhanced ability to swipe abilities from his foes to hamper them -- he's outright stolen information from someone's head, which combined with an ability to mute his presence to nigh-undetectable levels has allowed him access to wherever he wishes to go. In fact, several facilities owned by Ami's clan outright hired him to find security holes.

One rumor painted him as a descendant of the former Overlord, and while it did garner him some negative opinions, eventual testing proved that rumor wrong.

Chibi-Usa

Being Usagi's child, she of course is also a member of the Wererabbit race, though due to events involving the Black Crystals, the negative energies clashed heavily with her own, temporarily turning her into a Lucky Board and pulling her into the past.

Lucky Boards are generally considered the punching bag among demons, right alongside Prinnies, so one can imagine she had a hell of a time trying to not get cracked open like a cockatrice egg, especially considering that Lucky Boards lack a means of self-defense, being unable to use any skills of their own.

Luna

The advisor to Queen Serenity found herself awakening in a world of demons, and initially thought she had been transported off-world by something or someone else.

Due to having been in a magical stasis thanks to the Silver Crystal's energy and being on the Moon, the transformative power of the Overlord was unable to affect her. This made her initial mission much more difficult, as many demons took to trying to use her as a toy for their amusement.

Yet history echoes, as it was Usagi who chased off the demons and saved her. Luna was more than a little off-put by her charge being an excitable rabbit-demon, but after some time she was able to adjust and begin guiding Usagi.

Artemis

Much like Luna, he was held in magical stasis, and upon his awakening, he tried to seek out the reincarnation of Sailor Venus, only to find himself in a situation he was vastly unprepared to deal with.

After what was supposedly an "intensely embarrassing incident", Artemis began working with Minako, though his adjustment period was a bit longer.

Haruka

The Senshi of Uranus was reincarnated as one of the Lady Warriors, keeping a sporty, tomboyish attitude even while outperforming many of her fellows in various events.

Even with several of the fastest vehicles on record being produced and upgraded, she proves capable of outrunning them in her base form. Becoming Uranus made her even faster, alongside enhancing her ability to use the wind.

Michiru

The Senshi of Neptune was reborn as a Sea Angel, one of the aquatic demons. Her new self's command over ocean waters only amplified her abilities as a Senshi, allowing her unlimited access to any and all forms of free-flowing water.

Hotaru

Perhaps the most surprising, Hotaru was reborn as a Healer. The explosion that killed her mother and forced her to become a cyborg ended up simply not happening in this timeline, thanks to access to much better technology, and of course how much tougher demons are compared to humans.

While Sailor Saturn was known for her incredible destructive powers, many tend to forget she also had amazing healing powers, second-only to Moon's own. Of course, healing magic had a bit of an uphill struggle for acceptance in the Netherworld, but once people figured that getting healed could help them fight longer, it swiftly became a legitimate profession.

Setsuna

Having been stationed at the Time Gate, which lay outside the mortal realm, the Guardian of Pluto was the only one whom wasn't initially reborn as a demon. Through careful use of the Gate, she has observed the development of this timeline --- in fact, she was the one whom I spoke with to obtain this information.

Though initially quite off-put by her fellow Senshi being reborn as demons, her observation of their actions in-life began to quell her doubts. Thanks to a distinct lack of an IAU to demote Pluto from its planetary status, she's managed to come off more level-headed than the one we're familiar with.

When she had to break her taboos to help the Senshi, she died and was reborn as a member of the Sage race, heightening her powers.

She also sends her counterpart in this timeline her regards.

Matsumi and Matsuo

The Senshi of Quinox had befallen the same predicament that happened in this timeline --- namely that her soul had accidentally fused with her brother's when Queen Serenity used the last of her power to send the souls of those present into the future.

However, due to the unusual nature of this reincarnation combined with Earth's transformation into a Netherworld caused their soul fusion to take on a new form; at random times the two would switch control, even straight-up switching bodies as far as whom was active.

It took a specially crafted trip into their Heart Vault to allow the siblings to finally incarnate into their own bodies, though apparently this process took close to a week to be a complete success.

Matsumi would find herself taking the role of a Mage Knight, supplementing her aerokinetic powers with extra elemental effects. That said, she has eschewed the Knights' usual wielding of swords in favor of her spear, and is implicitly on her way to creating new elementally-charged spear skills. Unfortunately, people keep trying to force her onto the path of swordsmanship, going so far as to try and steal from her anytime she's seen wielding a spear, and her often-times fanatical reclamation of her stolen weapons has caused people to believe she has a spear fetish, assuming they didn't believe she was merely trying to copy Higan Zesshousai.

Matsuo, in defiance of a prediction made by my vassal, Alan, instead took the path of an Onmyo Mystic. While still in possession of his psychic abilities, he mentioned something about "not wanting to be caught up in wild delusions".

Joanna

Much as in our timeline, when Matsumi was killed at the Moon Kingdom Palace, Quinox's Loadstone tried to revive her at the same time Queen Serenity's Spell of Ressurection was being cast. As a result, Matsumi's soul got cloned.

Due to the conversion of Earth, this soul-copy eventually began finding its own identity.

Joanna, as she would now be known, was born as a particularly powerful Nekomata. Despite a love of martial arts and learning new styles, finding a proper teacher was quite the uphill battle, due to Joanna accidentally hitting some so hard they flew out of the system.

Masaki

Rather surprisingly, Masaki was reborn in this timeline as a rather fight-happy Armor Knight, ditching their usual code of protection in favor of beating the absolute shit out of her opponents. Combined with her storm-manipulating abilities from her former life, and you have yourself a recipe for serious trouble.

Betting that timeline's David is gonna be floored when he meets her...

Saki

Matsumi's happy-go-lucky friend was oddly reborn as a follower of the Beauty and Fertility Goddess, Prinpass. Said followers could be found around Evil Academy, acting as Cheerleaders for the Academy. Honestly, considering how up and down people's luck tends to be around her, I'd have personally figured her to be a Shaman, given their whole schtick is about luck manipulation.

Historical Events

Dark Kingdom - No Chance

With the rebirth spell finally complete, Beryl began her plan to revive Metallia... only to find out that during the transfer to the Netherworld, Metallia had begun to stir thanks to the surrounding energies, and it had caught the attention of Void Dark himself.

Having sent a few members of the Lost to collect the malignant creature borne of solar radiation for study, Void Dark promptly killed it with ease when it tried to overpower him.

With no Metallia to serve, Beryl was at a loss on how to proceed forward. Ultimately, she decided on starting with trying to find any reborn followers, as well as recruit any surviving Youma.... a plan that ultimately failed. With the followers' rebirth into demons, they had no reason to follow her, and the Youma were nearly rendered extinct during the former Overlord's reign, refusing to come out of hiding at all.

The Dark Kingdom was defeated before it even had a chance to begin. Beryl, having lost her purpose, simply chose to resume her regular life.

With no evil to deal with, the Senshi didn't awaken during this period.... but that wouldn't last forever.

Nemesis - Crushed

Fear the Great... a system said to be installed on every planet in the Solar System. When malice reigns high, the most malicious individual is possessed by this system, and continues to accumulate malice until the world is scrubbed clean of its inhabitants. Many Netherworld Records claim that Fear the Great had been activated seven times in the past... potentially during times before the Moon Kingdom had been established. Had Beryl's attack on the Moon Kingdom not been quelled when it had, it was more than likely that Fear the Great would've activated, reducing Earth to nothingness just like the other Sol planets.

With the natural disaster that would've propelled our timeline's Usagi to Queen being easily quelled, the would-be Senshi simply continued their daily lives, for about roughly one-thousand years, up until a certain day that the sky turned pitch-black, with no sign of stars to signal the night.

Someone or something had activated Fear the Great far ahead of when it should've been possible to, and was looking to cause ruin. Investigations into this showed a lone demon doing its damnest to supply the system with a nigh-overwhelming flood of malice.

This ended up being the impetus that the Senshi needed to tap into their previous lives' powers, and after a bit of confusion and some "learn as they go" they dissipated the malice into nothing, the demon responsible fleeing before it could be overwhelmed.

With the other planets fully colonized, this demon couldn't take refuge on any of them lest it be recognized, so it fled to the outer reaches of the Sol, finding the barren, forgotten planet.... Nemesis.

Taking up refuge on this lone world, something within it called to the demon after some time.... a tantalizing voice, a promise of genuine power.... with such an offer dangling in front of them, how could they refuse?

On accepting the voice's offering, obsidian-colored crystals began to emerge from the planet's depths, the wicked side of the dark coming forth to grant this demon its power by implanting one shard into its heart. Now filled with a power beyond words to describe, and combined with Nemesis's own copy of Fear the Great, the demon made its swift return to Sol, bombarding Earth with the crystals and misbalancing the Netherworld.

The Senshi were quick to return to action, but no matter how many of the crystals they shattered, more seemed to appear from each one's remains -- even the combined might of Usagi and Rei's purification abilities could merely stem the tide, not turn it back.

Mamoru proved to be the key factor -- using his innate talents to steal information and other concepts from his target alongside his connection to Earth, he found the crystals' origin points, and began directing the Senshi in toppling these points, finally stopping the crystals' uninhibited spread. Had they failed, the crystals would've begun to bud off and launch offshoots of themselves at the other planets of the Sol, amplifying the amount of negative energy and guaranteeing all copies of Fear the Great activating at once, erasing the Sol of life a second time.

With Ami's clan analyzing the crystals and pinpointing their world of origin, the Senshi travelled to Nemesis, where they immediately began working their way below-world, finding the core of the black crystals and destroying it after a lengthy battle against its thrall.

Nemesis began to shatter, and in a last-ditch effort to survive, the black crystal in the demon's heart animated a shard that had been overlooked on Earth, took possession of a Prinny, and with the last bit of dark energy left, took a trip to the past. It had been aiming for around the time of when it first tried to awaken Fear the Great, but here it managed to go even further back -- to a time where the Guardians hadn't awakened yet, and were still blissfully unaware of their powers. This was its chance, to strike them down now!

Sadly for the sentient rock, its attempts to attack the past Guardians when they hadn't yet awakened ended up being the impetus for them to awaken. The scheme rapidly falling apart, it then attempted to merge with the Nemesis of the current timeline, only to receive a shock -- a random Lucky Board that had been interfering with several of the battles turned out to be Chibi-Usa, who then used her timeline's Silver Crystal in conjunction with Usagi's Silver Crystal to completely wipe away the influence of the Malefic Black Crystal, also erasing it from the entirety of Nemesis.

Nemesis would later be considered for annexing once it was confirmed that all traces of the Black Crystal were gone. Some time afterwards, people had begun wondering if it were possible to have a Sailor Nemesis, though such discussions died down after a while. Chibi-Usa would return to her proper time a few days later.

The Deadliest Flower -- Plucked

Roughly two months after the eradication of the Nemesis Crystals, a much smaller than usual Alraune was found by Makoto, looking as if it were on death's door. After taking it into her care for a few days, it regained enough strength to speak with her.

Far out in space, the alien Fiore came into contact with the deadly Xenian Flower, and it quickly overtook his mind, manipulating him into making preparations to overtake Earth. However, during its travels to Earth, Fiore crossed paths with Ail and An, whom were preparing to take the Makai Tree to Earth in hopes of using the planet to help regrow it, and through it allow their race to live again.

Fiore convinced Ail and An to work with him, but partway through the journey the Makai Tree came to realize the Xenian Flower's manipulations, and warned Ail and An against a partnership. Furious, the flower made Fiore attack the pair, and during the struggle, the Makai Tree sent a small bud of its own out towards Earth, to give advance warning of the incoming threat.

The small alraune was the Makai Tree's bud, now influenced by the Netherworld air. While the other Senshi were more than a little skeptical of the alraune's plight, when several Xenian offshoots began attacking, that skepticism quickly faded. Luna had recognized the flower, citing how it had caused untold destruction during the Silver Millennium over 10,000 years prior, infecting planets and causing them to detonate after accumulating untold malice.... just like Fear the Great prior.

Sadly, Ail and An had been defeated by Fiore, the duo being captured and made to feed energy to the Xenian Flower. The Makai Tree was doing its best to stem the Xenian Flower's attempt, but was steadily losing ground.

Mamoru recognized Fiore after a moment, having met the off-worlder roughly a decade before the Nemesis incident happened. However, the Xenian Flower had him deeply in its grasp, making him irrational and moody. Due to this, battle was inevitable, but no matter how many offshoots were taken down, more seemed to endlessly replace them.

Makoto swiftly figured out the Xenian Flower's scheme, directing Rei and Usagi to try a purification aimed at Fiore. However, when Fiore dodged, Makoto revealed her real target -- the Makai Tree. Once hit, the malice and evil energy from the Xenian Flower began to dissipate, causing many of the offshoots to quickly die. Now furious beyond belief, the Xenian Flower decided it was time to crash its comet into Earth, forcing one final confrontation.

All the while, Mamoru was doing his best to try and free Fiore from the manipulations of the deadly flower, but words were simply lost on him. When the flower attempted to impale Usagi from behind, "reasoning" that she was interfering, it was a quick save from Mamoru that began to snap Fiore from his addled state. Realizing that he had come close to killing the one demon that he called "friend", he painfully tore the Xenian Flower from his body, depriving it of the hatred it needed to sustain itself, and begged Usagi and Rei to hit them both with a purification.

The dual-purification attack vaporized the Xenian Flower, erasing any remaining traces of it from Fiore, and freeing Ail and An from their imprisonment. Now back in control of his mind, Fiore was deeply apologetic for his actions, and it was surprisingly the Makai Tree, now regaining its original self as a Tree of Life, who offered to take Fiore with Ail and An in search of a new world.

Pharaoh 90 - Dethroned

Another deviation had happened quite some time before Beryl's awakening -- with the explosion that originally claimed Keiko Tomoe's life and caused Dr. Tomoe to contract with Pharaoh 90 simply not happening, the monster of Tau Ceti hadn't a mortal vector on this side to use in its plans. Under optimistic circumstances this would be where the story ends, but alas...

Kaorinite, harboring a long unrequited attraction towards Souichi Tomoe, burned with jealousy over his marriage and their child. Much as Beryl once did towards Endymion, Kaorinite desired Souichi for herself, but knew that he would not reciprocate so long as his wife was alive. Of course, it was not a wise idea to try and "Murder the Hypotenuse", as Souichi would easily have her sent to Hades to be imprisoned, or probably turned into a science experiment at the hands of one of the students of Evil Academy.

Pharaoh 90 had its new agent. Through Kaorinite it began sending Daimons over to try and subsume the populace, but sadly for it demonkind isn't wont to simply be helpless bystanders, and this caught the attention of the Senshi. Chibi-Usa, whom had made another return to the past as part of her training, ended up befriending Hotaru.

After a number of skirmishes, Kaorinite's scheme was uncovered, and as Souichi moved to have her fired from her position, she performed a last-ditch maneuver --- she devoured the Mistress 9 daimon, allowing it to grow within her and merge.

This proved to be quite the battle for the Senshi, with Mars and Moon's purification techniques able to stun the monster at opportune moments. Kaori-nine, however, wasn't content with only defeating the Senshi -- more than once she lashed out at Keiko and Hotaru, and when Souichi tried to deflect the attack, she ramped it up further, deciding that if he wouldn't be hers, she'd deny him everything!

Pluto, finally deciding to break her taboos, invoked her Time Stop, dying in the process, but giving Moon and the recently-awoken Chibi-Moon the opportunity they needed to delve into the beast's interior, combining their powers to kill Mistress 9 from within and excise it out of Kaorinite.

With no other options remaining, Pharaoh 90 decided to finally rip open a dimensional hole between Tau Ceti and the Sol, and through it multiple daimons began to flood in. The Senshi had to scramble, pulling double-duty between fending off the horde of daimons and figuring out a way to finally put down the monster of Tau.

Haruka and Michiru, whom were on the other side of the planet on business, felt an nigh-indescribable disturbance with Pluto's death, and immediately began rushing over to the dimensional breach, lending their aid in thinning the horde.

Hotaru was nigh-catatonic throughout the entire exchange, an ominous voice ringing in her mind. She wanted to act.... needed to act, but her body wouldn't move. The voice grew ever stronger, ever more insistent... then it happened, as Haruka and Michiru were pinned down holding back the monster's tendrils from smashing the Tomoe family into paste....

Sailor Saturn was reborn, and in one swift swing of her spear Pharaoh 90 was forced back through its dimensional tear. Things didn't stop there, however -- with one toss from her spear she skewered Pharaoh 90 all the way through, the powers of Silence riddling its entire body inside and out.

The Terror of Tau Ceti was no more.

Kaorinite managed to survive the ordeal, though she was later incarcerated in Hades for her actions, given they lead to potential planetary destruction.

Round 2 -- K.O.!!

Some time back during the Silver Millennium, a being whom embodied the concept of icy cold attempted to claim Earth, only to be driven away thanks to Queen Serenity's Silver Crystal. Most people in our timeline would know this being as "Snow Kaguya", thanks to the person whom first discovered her approach bestowing such a name upon her.

Now, tens of thousands of years later, that same being made a return, looking to add Earth to its collection. Unfortunately, when it descended and tried turning Earth into a second Icic-Hell, the populace alone was able to put its attempts on the back foot. No matter how many Snow Dancers it formed, they were destroyed almost immediately.

The Senshi's arrival merely sealed its fate, with one shot from Usagi ending the monster and restoring the planet's temperatures. However, as the monster faded away, it could be seen mouthing something... something that sounded like "...be wary..."

Nehellenia - Curse Cleansed

When Princess Serenity was born, Nehellenia laid a curse upon her, stating that she would die before being able to take the throne... and roughly fourteen to fifteen years later, Metallia would form and whisper sweet nothings into Beryl's ear, setting the stage for the Moon Kingdom's fall.

The seal cast upon her by Queen Serenity would eventually fade during a solar eclipse, and once free Nehellenia was ready to exact vengeance. Finding the now-converted Sailor Quartet out around where the Amazon would be relative to our world, she made strides to goad the four into working for her, making grand promises of granting their desires.

While the quartet agreed, being granted new powers, CereCere had a feeling in the back of her mind, that something felt off about this arrangement. Regardless, the newly-empowered Amazoness Quartet went to work, their first task being to seal Earth off -- this being done to trap Helios, the one whom knew where Earth's Golden Crystal was held, and allowing Nehellenia to corrupt Elysion, the realm of Dreams.

With Earth sealed off, the Senshi found themselves having difficulty transforming, and Mamoru instinctively knew something was wrong. With their powers walled off, this was a perfect time to attack.... except that once again, history repeats.

Though without their Planetary Powers, the Senshi were far from helpless, using the various skills they had developed to fend off Nehellenia's new thralls. In fact, when Minako got a little too close to their base of operations by accident, the Quartet attempted to attack her all at once, only to lead to her awakening her Super Form, tossing the Quartet aside like yesterday's refuse and alerting the others to her location.

Unfortunately for Helios, as Chibi-Usa had headed back to her own time days before the assault began, she was unable to return to the present time, and without a suitable person to take refuge with the Pegasus's chances to escape detection were dwindling by the second. With few options remaining, he ultimately chose to don a demonic disguise -- one that looked a little too close to Mamoru's own visage.

This ended up working to the Senshis' advantage, as with the enemy party now confused on why Mamoru had a doppelganger, it gave Moon the opportunity she needed to act. Sensing something off about them, one purification spell washed over the Amazoness Quartet, revealing their true identities as the Asteroid Guardians to Chibi-Usa, ones awoken far before their time.

CereCere's feeling of something being off had allowed her to break through Nehellenia's influence a bit quicker than the others, and upon realization of her actions she immediately brought the barrier down, an act that not only began restoring the Senshi to their original strength, it had the unfortunate side-effect of messing with Helios's disguise, nearly outing him. That, however, was enough for Nehellenia to act, capturing Helios and holding him hostage.

The Quartet lead the Senshi to Nehellenia's domain, and an all-out battle ensued against the Lemures, beings whom once served her before having their Dream Mirrors extracted. Some sources claim they were willingly gifted, others say Nehellenia stole them in her bid for power.

The ensuing battle and Helios's torment under Nehellenia's interrogation revealed that the Pegasus had done more than simply disguise himself as Mamoru -- he had used such a disguise to infiltrate the latter's house days ago to leave behind an important clue.

"Reunite as the old to create the new."

Nehellenia, even without a demonic transformation or the Golden Crystal, proved quite the challenge for the Senshi, as her curses used magic long since forgotten by time, forcing the Senshi to find ways around them.

It was when Nehellenia attempted to simply steal the Siver Crystal from Usagi and use its power to out the location of the Golden Crystal that it happened -- the Crystals resonated, creating a powerful, increasing loop of magic that repelled her.

The Golden Crystal had been within Mamoru all along, granting him his powers.

A strong flood of previous life memories came back to Mamoru and Usagi, and when Nehellenia attempted to attack again, the pair transformed into King Endymion and Neo Queen Serenity respectively. With but a simple glance in her direction, Nehellenia fell, her youth and beauty rapidly fading away to reveal a form ravaged by time.

She attempted to flee back into the mirror she had been imprisoned in, but that turned out to be a fatal error, as the powers of the transformed pair had cleansed the mirror of its malicious energy, also cleansing Nehellenia.

Just like with the frozen planet collector, Nehellenia had something to say before she faded completely....

"....Chaos... it comes...."

The Black Dream Hole -- Collapsed

With the Sailor Quartet returning to their slumber until their appointed time to reawaken, Earth went back to a relative calm.

About three months later, news would begin to spread around the world about a bizarre sleeping illness that seemed to claim the minds of those below the ages of 10 to 11, relatively speaking. Those affected would drift off to sleep, unable to awaken even through external stimuli. The longer one remained under its hold, the more sickly the victim would begin to appear.

Chibi-Usa, whom had returned to this time period to visit Hotaru, found herself falling under the influence of this new illness. Pegasus, whom had returned to Elysion following Nehellenia's demise, would report of unusual sightings in the Dream Lands, of creatures of old Silver Millennium myth appearing and causing havoc. He had noticed that the appearances coincided with the sleeping sickness taking hold of the world, which was impetus enough to investigate.

Staking out an area believed to be hit by the illness next, the Senshi would bear witness to those creatures mentioned by Pegasus appearing, in a way resembling the smaller Fae demons, and using a musical tune mixed with magic to lull the children to sleep, before extracting what looked like their spirit. Before these ones could escape through their portal and onto their ships, the Senshi and Mamoru made haste, ambushing the would-be offenders and sneaking through the portal.

The ships would lead them to Castle Marzipan, where Queen Badiane was placing the sleeping childrens' spirits into specially made Dream Siphons, though some claimed they looked more like coffins. These siphons were draining away the psyche of the afflicted, and to make matters worse they were being fed into a singularity point that was increasing in power.

To prove this latter point, those of older age groups were beginning to fall prey to the illness.

Though Badiane proved somewhat impressed that someone had managed to find her so quickly, she claimed the Senshi were too late, as with Chibi-Usa's exceptional energy being fed to the singularity, she would soon cover all of Earth, just as she had done to her home world before its inhabitants expired.

Badiane proved quite the opponent -- with the singularity's power on the constant increase, the waking and dream worlds were drawing ever closer to fusing together, and Badiane took advantage of this to keep the Senshi on the defensive. From thin air itself she could craft minions and other constructs to keep the Senshi busy while her plan kept going.

Mamoru, however, proved nigh-immune to her powers, thanks to Pegasus's guidance on how to deflect such powers. As the Senshi did battle with Badiane, he used his techniques in stealth to begin dismantling the siphons unnoticed, carefully rigging each one to cause a domino effect.

The trigger point for this came when Badiane slapped away one of Moon's attacks, claiming she was now invincible. The deflected attack hit a bit too close to one of the siphons, and a chain reaction went off, disabling them all and causing the singularity to lose its energy rapidly.

Now somewhere between furious and downright terrified, Badiane leapt into the singularity, trying to draw upon all of its remaining power in a bid to consume the Senshi into the dream and feed upon them. Undeterred, Moon leapt in after her, and it was here that Chibi-Usa was found at its center, easily supplying the energy of several thousands of demon kids by herself.

Badiane made to merge with the singularity, but Moon was having none of it. Through her words alone Chibi-Usa awoke, and the pair focused on Badiane, their combined might erasing the dream-consuming woman once and for all.

The incident left quite the impression -- for a few days, those affected by the sleep spell would talk about their experiences, whilst the Senshi had a get-together to discuss the recent attacks on the planet.

Surprisingly, it would be Haruka who would posit the idea of someone or something sending seemingly random monsters their way, to possibly probe the world for weaknesses before making their move. Other Overlord-class demons had done similar in the Netherworld, and despite this taking place outside the Netherworld it did fit the pattern. Mamoru, as the former Prince of Earth, found himself agreeing, and of course their memories of the Fall only solidified that theory.

Within the end of the month, a training schedule would be worked out -- the old Martial Training Netherworld had survived the worst of the War with No Victor, and after some self-reflecting to figure out their strengths and weaknesses, plans were devised to improve everyone.

Little did they realize they were going to need that training.....

Galaxia - The Final Challenge

Deep within the galaxy, an immensely powerful Sailor Soldier, Sailor Galaxia, was born to a nondescript asteroid. Finding the place not to her liking, she set out to find a new home for herself.

Here, however, accounts begin to differ on her actions. Some say she enlisted into the Sailor Wars, keeping peace throughout the largely uninhabited sectors, while others claim she had been pointed towards Sagittarius Zero Star, the exact center of the galaxy itself (give or take fifty feet) to settle upon as a new home.

The end result was the same, regardless --- Galaxia would come into conflict with a being of complete malice, the entity calling itself Chaos, one whom desired to consume the galaxy and all its inhabitants. For a time spanning several centuries, Galaxia would battle Chaos, but no matter the damage she inflicted, no matter how many times she tore it to shreds, Chaos would keep reforming, as if taunting her efforts.

If the power of a galaxy alone wasn't enough to put this monster down, then what could? Seeing Chaos preparing to reform once more, Galaxia took a gamble, drawing Chaos into herself to serve as a container. Sadly, Chaos had been expecting this move, and began to corrupt her from within, wearing down her very soul with each heartbeat. Now realizing her folly, Galaxia ejected her Star Seed, sending it out to find someone whom could surpass her.

This Star Seed would eventually land upon Earth, but it would go unrecognized for multiple years until a passing Celestial, exploring the planet as part of an inter-cultural learning experience, would find it. The Seed, upon being found, would mould its outward appearance based on this Celestial, taking the outward appearance of being a younger sibling to it.

Out in the depths of space, the Chaos-possessed Galaxia would begin a rapid spree of conquest, stealing the Star Seeds of thousands of worlds and destroying those who dared to oppose. Many inhabitants tried to appease her with various offerings, but only a select few would be accepted, becoming the Animamates. Their worlds would end up getting toasted anyway.

Eventually, Chaos-Galaxia would find her way to Earth, feeling mildly surprised at signs of demonic life out this far, and spreading to the other planets as well. Either way, it was time to begin harvesting.

The Sailor Starlights, anticipating Galaxia's arrival, had managed to sneak ahead of her to begin setting up a forward defense against her minions. It was during one of these skirmishes that the Senshi would learn of Galaxia's rampage throughout the galaxy, and lend their aid. However, the Starlights were entirely ignorant of the truth behind the rampage, being convinced through and through that Galaxia had gone insane with power. They also proved more than a little wary of the demon Senshi.

Setsuna attempted to peer through the Time Gate to verify whether the Starlights were telling the truth, but a heavy distortion was blocking her sight, leaving the truth muddled and unclear.

Chaos-Galaxia's attention would be turned fully to Earth upon learning that several of her Animamates had been defeated. Now intrigued, she would observe the battles in secret, taking notice of how these demons carried Planetary Star Seeds within them, being capable of wielding their might. Such power must be hers -- the Animamates could be replaced whenever.

A battle soon erupted, and for the first time Chaos-Galaxia found herself being challenged. These demon Senshi proved to be no pushover, being capable enough of deflecting her attacks and even managing to land some solid hits to her. Unfortunately, with Chaos's regenerative powers the Senshi found themselves on the losing side of a war of attrition. Without a known way to cut off the regeneration they were being worn down.

The passing Celestial found herself caught up in the battle when her young ward began to run full-tilt towards the fight. An unearthly light began to flow from the young one, paralyzing Chaos-Galaxia and giving Usagi the chance she needed to land one final, desperate strike.

The strike, while appearing to cause no physical damage, actually caused Chaos-Galaxia to withdraw upon realizing that a wound from the battle was refusing to heal. The Starlights were beside themselves in a mix of genuine curiosity and downright terror --- nobody before had the power to do that.

What nobody would yet realize was that Usagi had unwittingly tapped into an age-old technique once crafted in the Netherworld by Goldion, the Great Demon Fist.

The Ultimate Demon Technique was one crafted to allow a demon to excise their negative impulses, and through the technique excise such negative influences from others. It had been reportedly used during the tail end of the War with No Victor to bring a decisive end to Void Dark. Usagi, thanks to her powers as Sailor Moon and wielding of the Silver Crystal, was well on her way to becoming an ideal channeler for this technique, though unknowningly aided by the light of the young ward.

Chaos-Galaxia would strike again about a week later, this time deciding to try and outright steal the Star Seeds of the Senshi instead of get into another battle that risked undoing her progress. Unbeknownst to her, Princess Kakkyu had been alerted to the situation thanks to the battle last week, and worked to stymie the attempt, losing her life in the process aiding the Starlights. However, before Chaos-Galaxia had the chance to collect Kakkyu's Star Seed, it disappeared from sight, horrifying the body snatcher.

Unable to comprehend what had just happened, Chaos-Galaxia resumed trying to steal the Star Seeds of those present, but once again the unearthly light from before stunned her, this time allowing Usagi and Rei to combine their powers, driving Galaxia back.

Getting fed up with the resistance, Chaos-Galaxia would become relentless, attacking at any opportune moment she found, slowly wearing the Senshi down through repeated strikes. During one particular skirmish, however, it would be Michiru and Ami who would reveal the truth of the situation -- one of Ami's attacks had been deflected, but the techno-wizard had noticed something off with the bracer used to deflect the attack. Hatching a plan, she subtly goaded Michiru into attacking Galaxia from a blind angle; an attack that was anticipated, not only by Galaxia but also by Ami, who had managed to sneak in some of her tech into the attack, causing the bracer to begin melting off of Galaxia's arm.

For a brief moment, Chaos-Galaxia's true form was visible to all, and the Starlights were stunned, realizing that they had gotten the story all wrong about her. Sadly, this did little to alleviate the onslaught, as Chaos-Galaxia became even more fierce, discarding her usual skills in favor of savagely beating the Senshi, even using the body of Star Maker to violently slam several of the Senshi into the ground. She would begin using her remaining bracer to rip the Planetary Crystals from the Senshi -- beginning with Setsuna, then Haruka, Hotaru, Makoto, Minako, Rei, leaving Ami and Michiru for last as "punishment" for partially undoing the possession.

Once again, the unearthly light shone from the young "Celestial" in an attempt to stop the attack, but Chaos-Galaxia was so enraged that she managed to power through it, nearly killing the young one in a single hit. Holding her up by her face, Chaos-Galaxia was more than willing to shove her hand through the child's chest to rip out its Star Seed, but an injured Sailor Moon quickly intercepted, taking the blow instead.

Chaos-Galaxia was elated -- her biggest opposition had allowed herself to take the hit for the annoyance, a futile effort. However, this turned out to be anything but futile, as from within Usagi's Star Seed a brilliant light that far surpassed that of the child's began to radiate, burning away Chaos's influence from Galaxia's body.

Chaos, however, refused to give up so easily, and began trying to take over Usagi's body now. The child, now realizing that Usagi was the one meant to surpass Galaxia, allowed herself to return to the form of a Star Seed, and began to lend her power to Usagi, reversing the takeover. Mamoru, catching on to what was happening, enacted his own gambit -- he stole the Golden Crystal from within his own body to aid Usagi, a move that would be repeated by the other Senshi's Planetary Crystals as they freed themselves from Chaos's grasp.

The powers of the Planetary, Golden and Silver Crystals combined together as one, and here it would be revealed that Kakkyu's Star Seed had aligned with Usagi's. The Starlights, though initially hesitant, would soon lend theirs to Usagi.

For those on the outside, an unbelievable light show was taking place, but internally, Usagi's soul was communing with that of Galaxia's, sympathizing with her plight of several millennia and learning of what Chaos truly was.

Every soul, whether human, demonic, angelic or otherwise, had a benevolent or malevolent side to them. Chaos, rather obviously, represented the malevolent aspect of life. Usagi, depsite her demonic rebirth, was more than willing to try and save Galaxia, becoming the new embodiment of the benevolent aspect of life. The monster dwelled at the heart of the Galaxy Cauldron that sat at the galaxy's center, slowly forming over the countless eons.

It was done --- with an undeniably pure heart, Usagi ascended beyond Sailor Moon, becoming Sailor Cosmos, and with her will alone Chaos was excised from Galaxia's body though a brilliant, universe-encompassing Macrocosm, but it swore to make a return, so long as one individual still existed.

Galaxia's Star Seed returned to her, and the golden Senshi was thoroughly humbled by the experience. Swearing to make amends for her misdeeds, she would gather up all the Star Seeds collected over the thousands of years, and return them to their rightful homes. Those whose homes had been destroyed, however, would choose to form a new base near the Galaxy Cauldron, forming the Sailor Corps.
