First Appearance

Jethro is an adult male Saturnian, who appears to be in his mid to late 20's. He was born a commoner, and was not empowered like some of the Noble clans. has a strong build, and a slash scar under his right eye. He has a stern demeanor and looks very intimidating, but he can be tactful and persuasive and at times appear very approachable.

Background

As a child, he had to grow up and compete for everything he wanted and desired, but all too often, an empowered Saturnian would beat him and take what was his. He was a very focused student, having the benefit of being able to attend school and was among the top in his class. Despite this, he was still mostly bullied by many of his empowered peers. He became bitter and vengeful, seeking a way to overcome the empowered members of society. He wanted to show he was better than them. That he could be superior. He desired to make them suffer, as they made him suffer.

Eventually, he sought out masters of self defense and learned a few of their arts to protect himself when attacked, but he could not find a master that could teach him how to fight back against an empowered opponent. More or less, his masters warned him not to try and engage in a fight with an empowered, for they could do untold damage if they unleashed their full power on a commoner. Frustrated, Jethro abandoned his masters, and sought to continue his own studies and fighting techniques elsewhere. Little did he know, he was watched by someone who took notice of his inquiries to his masters, and followed him after he left their schools.

Jethro was wandering the streets alone at night, when he was attacked by a mob of his empowered peers. It seems word got around that Jethro was learning to fight, and wanted to beat up empowered Saturnians. They wanted to teach him a lesson, and came at the young boy, fully intending to use no restraint on their empowered abilities. Jethro took a severe beating until someone rushed in, and after a few hits against the empowered attackers, the mob collapsed in the street. They were complaining about feeling numb and not being able to move or use their powers. Jethro was picked up by this savior and taken away from the scene while the helpless teens cried out for help into the night. Jethro awoke some time later in a strange shack-like dwelling. His wounds were cleaned and bandaged, and Jethro saw what he assumed was the owner of the dwelling sitting near a fire, smoking a pipe. Jethro approached the man to thank him, but the man only looked at the boy and told Jethro that he had the knowledge the boy was seeking. Seeing the confusion in the boy's eyes, the man told Jethro that he was the last member of a clan that kept the knowledge of Croncys (Crone-cus). It was a lost and considered a forbidden art, abandoned by society because they relied more on their modern laws and "civilized" means of maintaining order and balance. The art focuses on the flow of energies through a Saturnian's bodies, and helps those learning the art to understand the triggers and control of empowered abilities. This knowledge allows righteous empowered and common learners to disable and neutralize empowered users who are evil or mis-using their abilities, as long as the righteous learner can land the right strikes.

The man said he had no descendants, or students because to teach the art was forbidden, and no one had the desire or even the courage to seek out this art. The man wished to pass on his knowledge to someone who had the passion, desire, and courage to stand up and fight against the empowered members of society who sought to prey on the common and weak. Jethro agreed to learn Croncys, swearing to this man that he would uphold its righteous oath. However, Jethro planned to use this art and knowledge against his enemies for revenge once he mastered it. He would continue the farce of simply being a righteous student to his new teacher, and continuing to endure bullying from his peers, hiding his true intent. After years of study, he was able to defeat him teacher in a number of challenges, and in a final match Jethro left his teacher fully paralyzed on the ground. It was then the man now deemed Jethro to be the new master of Croncys. Jethro thanked the man for all his teachings...and proceeded to hit the helpless man in the throat, hitting a pressure point to collapse his wind pipe. Jethro stands over the man and watches his teacher suffocate to death.

Jethro returned to his home and life with a new purpose. Now that he had the knowledge and ability to overcome anyone in his way, he would find his rise to power, and seek his revenge on the empowered of society. He later joined the royal military and worked his way up the ranks.

Silver Millennium

Jethro was promoted and served as the Captain of the Royal Guard for the palace and capital city of Saturn. He was assigned and served first under the Ruling Regent Lord Vadik. He was feared among the common folk, and some of the other nobles, because he was rumored for using inhumane torture methods on prisoners under the rule of the Regent. He would also frame and wrongfully arrest people, especially empowered Saturnians, and essentially kidnaps them to subject them to pain and suffering for his own pleasure. Using the armories of the royal guard, he started to secretly develop his own weapons and devices to make it easier to conduct his underhanded schemes and acts of personal vengeance and prejudice.

Of all the people in the guard, he had more knowledge and ability to disable and contain empowered Saturnians with his use of his secret art of Croncys, and personalized weaponry, position of power within the ranks of the Royal guard, and imposing fear into his prisoners, Jethro managed to keep all his devious acts of depravity secretive. He continued to serve after the return of the exiled court heirs. At first, he was pleased to have the true members of royal blood returned to their rightful place, but like many others, Jethro was displeased to learn that the birthright Crowned Heiress had returned with a human for a mate, and was already pregnant with the vermin's child. Despite his position, and his sworn oath to protect their Empress and Empire, Jethro soon joined a collective of Anti-Empress rebels. Jethro would use his position and methods to undermine the Empress's rule, abusing her laws and causing defamation of the Empress's reputation and character by making her rulings seem like incompetence or tyrannical among the common people.

Jethro held a high position in the ranks of the rebels, and it was he that proposed that they make a big move to start a coup against the Empress to depose her and replace the empress with her brother, the Earl of Titan. Jethro knew the Earl of Titan was undyingly loyal to his sister, but thought the Earl could be manipulated to meet the demands of his people, provided they had the right incentive. Jethro plotted with rebel supporters on Titan with their plans to kidnap the Earl of Titan's young son to force the Crown Prince to demand his sister's resignation of the throne. Kidnapping the Earl's wife was the original plan, but due to her being heavily pregnant at the time, she was too well guarded, so the rebels opted to kidnapping the Earl's son as their collateral. While the plan to take the young noble was a success, the response from the Earl was not what the rebels expected. Any and all of their ransom demands and contacts were only replied to by the countess herself, expressing her distress and worry for her son, and pleading for his safe return; "...before its too late..."

Not understanding her warnings, the rebels assumed she was only stalling and keeping the Earl uninformed of the situation. What they did not know was the Earl learned of his son's kidnapping from their first ransom letter, and took it upon himself to hunt down these rebels personally. One by one, rebel scouts were found and ruthlessly interrogated by the enraged Earl of Titan, and then executed as traitors to the empire once he obtained what he needed to know to find his son. Upon finding the warehouse where the rebels had based and imprisoned his son, the Earl broke into their base and proceeded to execute and incinerate every member of the rebel group in the building. The Earl returned home with his son safe in his arms, leaving the warehouse as nothing more than a smoldering crematorium. After reports of this coup were reported to the empress, a formal investigation was launched to interrogate families of the involved, and the rebel insurgence and their activities and plans were soon brought to light. Trails of evidence lead the Empress's secret service agents to locate and arrest the leaders of the rebels, which then led to exposing Jethro's involvement with the group as well, and all his illegal operations and abuse of his position. Jethro and the others were brought to trial and charged with treason against the empire, but additional charges against Jethro included multiple wrongful arrests, the use of physical and psychological torture against civilians, crimes of hate and prejudice, and murder. The court, especially the Earl of Titan, called for execution of all who were charged, but the empress refused, knowing that execution could make them seem like martyrs to their supporters and families. Instead, the rebel leaders were sentenced to be imprisoned and indentured to work hard labor as punishment. Jethro, however, was seen as too dangerous and was ordered to be locked away, deep down in the very dungeons where he had imprisoned and tortured many innocent civilians.
