Chaplin is usually lively young man who seems to be good friends with Amanda. The pair have been friends since childhood, and despite the separation of their occupations upon adulthood, they remained in contact and grew closer over recent years.

History

Chaplin was born on the south side of New Orleans, growing up in a small ghetto with his parents and brother. He was the older of the pair, but still loved living like a child as he grew up.

His parents were working class people who were dedicated to their jobs. Chaplin grew up comfortably, but still humbly, his parents wanting their children to remember that there were still others out there who needed help. It was through this lifestyle that Chaplin met Amanda as a small child. Before she was sent away from home, the pair met when Chaplin's parents made a trip to the river delta to help some of the struggling families at the banks of the Mississippi. The young boy became fast friends with the youngest Sharlan child, and over the months, Chaplin and Amanda became playmates. Once Amanda was gone, Chaplin begged and pleaded his parents to find his friend, and eventually, they grew to slowly figure out where she'd gone. Chaplin was not allowed to see her again for many years...and when he reached his teenage years, the young girl he'd played with for so long became but a dream.

Finding a Friend

While he was in high school, Chaplin's parents moved him and his younger brother to Japan, living in Tokyo for several years until Chaplin graduated and began studying online through the University of Louisiana. Just before he graduated, his family moved back to New Orleans, and soon, Chaplin earned his college degree and was quickly hired for the Parish auditor's office.

By this time, Amanda had grown up as well, traveling the world for her "profession" and finding herself near home. It was on one of these visits that she ran into Chaplin. They lost track of each other again when Amanda began dealing with Tony, and Chaplin made the attempts in vain to contact her, finding himself unable to do so for quite a length.

When Amanda began working at SecuriTech, she finally contacted Chaplin again, and the couple began speaking more often, and shortly before the attack on Akihabara, Chaplin and Amanda officially began dating.

In September 2013, the two were engaged and married on December 1st, 2013.
