Gouka-Ryu
Gouka-Ryu is a school of Jujitsu which is practiced by the family of Hana Sagusa.
Basics
At the core of the Gouka-Ryu style is the idea of the power of the individual above all else. While one may learn the teachings of the Gouka-Ryu, the path to perfecting the teachings is different for each student.
The school teaches that there are "Eight Paths" or levels to achieving total mastery of physical prowess. The Eight Paths are as follows:
- Precision: After learning the basics, you learn to aim your attacks directly at your target.
- Directness: The ability to direct your opponent where you wish them to go.
- Force: The ability to control your strength.
- Speed: The ability to move with grace and yet with power.
- Will: The ability to stand one's ground in face of conflict.
