The soul-clone of Faye Kizen. She was forced into the game of Successor Idol. When choosing between her or Celeste, Yaijinden elected chose the latter. She was later forced to fight Abe Hisoka and was thrown into interstice.
We don't know much more after that except that she fell into Carcosa. She returned to Earth some time over the summer and had traveled from Portugal to Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, the Midwestern region of the United States and then New York, using the Random Door as a Shortcut. Every average mortal she encountered fell to madness.
She came to the HOTEL on multiple occasions and proved to be both illiterate and non-verbal but capable of learning if the proper attention was given. She recognized Yaijinden with ease, calling him Mama but the moment she was rejected was the trigger that awoke The Firestarter and her mission to summon The King in Yellow by using the play.
The Princess in Amber
The Firestarter revealed that she was not serving The King in Yellow but that she was possessed by The Stranger and acted as his mouthpiece his goal to drag out Hastur from his duty in hiding Yhtill. Any further detail of the Stranger's intentions were lost once the conflict shifted to preventing The King in Yellow from being summoned. The Widening Gyre claimed his daughter's soul from The Stranger and the connection he had to this world was cut by Sailor Mimas. The Firestarter reverted back to her unaware self, with only the association of fondness to her Mamas.

Post The Princess in Amber
Although the girl that emerged is relatively harmless by temperament, she remains relatively-highly placed on the Torchwood Threat Level Assessments because of her potential for causing trouble. She still has her wings that act as a portal to Interstice but she has little understanding of how to use them. She has learned enough language to be functionally if haltingly conversational in English and Japanese, and is developing a circle of mundane friends her (apparent) age of 12, as her parents prepare her for entry into the wide, weird world.
Simon Kerrick named her "Amber," which met with approval from her three parents. She has also called The Corruptor her father and while his guilty nature refused to accept her at first, Amber was persistent enough to convince him to promise her that he would watch over her from afar.
Amber's current preoccupations are learning how to be human while keeping her preternatural essence under wraps. Given how tricky being human is for any 12-year-old, most people who don't know Amber's nature merely interpret her lack of knowledge of the real world as her simply being somewhat naive and sheltered.
